One place they may be
disappearing to is the Fall
Fair' where they, will be
• judged and hopefully win
smite prizes. Then others,
they may sit in someone's
flower bed and soak up the
last bit of sun and rain before
winter arrives. Whatever the
case, the flowers are disap-
-Tearing and so are-alet-of
things around Seaforth.
Where have all the child -
in gone, long time passing?
Well, that's an eaty ques-
• tion. They aren't going to be
judged at the Fall Fair, and
they are definitely going to
sit in flower beds for the fall.
Sure, they may try to soak up

university, college' or, just
-working for the year.
The streets of Seaforth
seem se bare that first week
of school until the students
are let out of the lion's den
for the day and then they are
back at it again. Roaming
Seaforth's Main Street and
all of the backstreets talking
about funny happenings at
school and complaining 'til ,
their hearts are content
about, school work, home-
work and teachers. •
Thir-ir- Of -the
grade nine students pane?
The answer for that is they're
all hiding from the dreaded
grade twelve and thirteen
students who will help out on
slave day if we have one.
Last year, I wrote a column
about the 'first few days of
•school and terrified and '
small 1 felt lh the big, high
•,schooL Sure, I 1.44,0ratand
that the grade nine' Students
this year feel this was WO:
but now, to ,me, it- seems so
funny!
• I dreaded the thought of
being initiated last year but
after -it MOW all over and I
smelled of tomatoes, onions
and perfume I was trying to
figure out when the initiation
would start. • Without initia-
tion last year, I am pre that
it would have taken tile ages
to meet the people that I
know now. Then, I was trying
to duck out their way before
they ran me over but now
they're all trying to duck out
of my way!
, -Mere have
dents gone? Many of, the
students that were in grades
twelve and thirteen last year
have either got a job now or
are taking up the rest of their
education as frosh at a
university of college. The
people in SDHS seem much
sborter as a result except for
rn
9
betweens
the few jolly green giants.
Where have all the papers
gone? With the blaze of the
SDHS furbn July 22, and the
smoke that followed, several
papers and books were dam-
aged and needed to be sorted
out last Thursday and Friday
afternoons. The students
were dismissed early from
class and die teachers sortid
out their, belongings. Of
course the students weren't
complaining anymore than a
dull whisper and the teachers
had a chance to clean up.
Well summer's over and
school is beginning. Where
has summer 1980 gone? No
one knows but it's gone and
we 'won't get it back so we
might just as well get ready
for fall 198Q, Most likely, the
fall won't go so quickly 'but
