Caruana" in the St. James Roman Catholic Church in Seaforth last Saturday, August 30 at 5 p.m. Betty' Southgate of Seaforth was the maid of honour, with Susan and Norine Primeau of Seaforth and Deanna Nobel of London as bridesmaids. The bride was given by her father. The grooms man was John Primeau of Goderich, and the ushers were James Young of Thamesford, James Segeren of Seaforth and Donald McGregor of Clinton. Music at the ceremony was provided by soloists John Segeren and Maryanne Smith of Seaforth, with accompanyment by Maureen Hutchinson on organ. A dinner and reception were held at the Seafortliaeolf and Country Club, and was attended by more than a hundred friends and relatives from as far away as Sault Ste. Ma -6e, 13rdekvifie and Edmonton. There will be the usual models of and displays of gas engines, tractors and steam engines as well as a number of cotests to delight the crowds. /This year the event will be held on Septembei 5 6 and 7 at the arena grounds. A parade down the main street of Blyth will kick off the Reunion at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Huron County Pioneet Thresher - man's Vice -President Simon Hallahan thought- the Old Tyme Fiddler's Contest would probably start at 2 p.m. and would be followed by the step dancing contest and then there would be_entertainment for a ij short time before a parade is held on the grounds at 4 p.m. The bean pot. sawmill and threshing machine will prbbably be in action for -most of Saturday and Sunday. The Clinton Legion Pipe Band will play. on Saturday while the Seaforth Band and the Brussels Pipe Band will play on Sunday. Contests include belt setting of tractors. stooldng and sheaf tying. belt 'setting a steam engine and bag tying. Mr. Hallahan of R.R.3: Blyth was one of 21 original members who got the Hurbn County Pioneer threshermen's Reunion organized in 1962. The Reunion draws roughly 11,000 to 12.000 people from all over Canada and the United States. As Mr. Hallahan says, nothing different is planned, it (the Reunion) AI just be a whole lot better.
