Walton Intermediates Nine.
The *St IWO innings
started offNat like any other
genie but in the third inning
California pitcher Ron Rupp
found himself in a tight
situation With runners on
first and second and two out.
Instead of trying to get the
batter to retire the Side, with

runner off Second base and
never took his eyes Off horn,*

and their throwing ability
was strong and accurate.
Ron pitches blindfolded on

his glove and MS Slow ball.
The Waken. players found

ability as a four -man softball
teim playing s.erkkustall and
their sportsmanship would
stand the California players
against any team in this area.
The Walton ball club found
their visitors nothing but
gentlemen andclassify them
as perfect . good -will
ambassaders for the United
Sates. They would o

they have played no games

Lanny Rupp, manager of the
team, had to leave the group
earlier in the spawn. Karen

before the season started,
Frank Carderella, • the
catcher, signed a contract
with the New York' Mets and
is -new playing in their minor
league system. The results is •
'a change of membership but
old boyhood friendships pre-
vailed and the team was able
to keep on the go with
rephidements. •
The California players are
finding Canadians area lot
more fun. They find
American spectators are
really tough on the plifyers,
and hard to entertain.
Rich Hughes, born and
