Is set for tonight with the
Winthrop Warriors hosting
the Atwood Athletics.
• The Atwood tedni Is cur-
rently involved in their own
league finals while the War-
riors were runners up in a
recent Stratfilrd tournament.
Dates for thc remaining
games in the playoff have not

The firemen advanced to
the sem-finals with a tOugh
7-6 ten inning victory over a ..
surprising B.P. squad. .
B,P, ,jumped into a 5.0 lead
with a 'big second inning but
the Firemen fought back with
two runs in the third and two
more iii -the fourth..
They. evened the count in
the fifth

the seventh, scoring a single
run to move back in front.
The Firmen took advan-
tage of Miscuis to even the
sore at six in the bottom of
the seventh. They lefr the

After two scoreless extra
innings the firemen opened
the bottom of the tenth
inning with a single. After a
sacrifice, Gat' Black's single
drove in the winning run.
The Teachersled by two
home runs from Gus Feeney'
posted an upset 11-7 victory
over the Firmen.
Gus hit a three run homer
to give the Teachers a tie in
the third inning,. He then
belted a gran slam in the fath
to put the Teachers in fronto
stay.
The Firemen got homers
from Paul and Don Hulley as
the long ball accotinted for
plcnty of runs.
The victory gave the Tea-
chers the first game in the
best of three Series. The
second game, will be played
Sunday night.
The second game saw th,e
Turf Club edge- out " the
_upstart Mainstreet squad by
a' narrow 3-2 score to take a
1-0 lead in the other semi-
final.
Mainstreet opened with a
sigle run in the first inning as
a walk, stolen base and ,a
single by Bob ,Beuttenmiller
put them up 1-0.
The lead held up til,the

bottom of the fourth when
Terry Johnston doubled. A.
single by Jack Malwain and
two sacrifice 'flys Put the Turf
Club up 2-1.
The sixth inning saw. the
Turf move up 3-1 as Jack
McLlwain doubled and sin-
gles by Joe Dick and Murray
Henderson scored a single
run,
Mainstreet rallied in the
seventh. After a lead-off walk
and an error, a single by Sid
VVocas scored one run. A
sacrifice fly would have tied
thegame but poor baserun-
fling and a heads up play

base to end the game. The
