SMITH—McCUE
Catherine Bernice McCue,' daughter of Don and
Jeannine Jefferson of Seaforth and Richard John Smith,
son of Douglas and Elizabeth Smith of Forest were married
In Seaforth United Church by Rev. T.A.A. Duke on August
23 at 4 p.m. The matron of honor was Debby Mero of
Seaforth. The bridesmaids were Janice McCue of Seaforth
and Inez Smith and Joan Douglas of Forest. The
groomsman was Wayne Catt of Forest and the ushers were N.
Carn Holbrook of Warwick and Mike Andriash and Blake
Ramsey of Forest. The organist was Margaret Whitmore
and the soloist was John Segeren. A reception was held at
the Seaforth Legion Hall. Guests attended from Niagara
Falls, Midland, Sarnia and Forest. After a wedding trip to
the Pocono Mountains, the couple will reside in Forest.

McCLURE--ROBINSON
Jauane Marie Robinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Keith Robinson, R.R. 3. Mitchell, and Clayton Nelson
McClure, son of Mr. and Mrs. Weison McClure. R.R. 2.
Seaforth were married in Main Street United Church,
M3tchell, on Friday July 18th. Rev. Den Pletsch officiated
at the double ring ceremony. .
Judy Elliott sister of the bride was matron of honour and
Bryan McClure. brother of the groom was best man.
Guests were ushered by Kevin Elliott and Fred McClure.
Soluist Esther Scholl sang "The Wedding Prayer" and
"Walk Hand in Hand". She was accompanied by organist
Ernest Harley. Following the ceremony. a reception was
heir! at Family Paradise.

JOHNSTON—WHITING
Debra Margaret Whiting and Brian William Johnston
were united in marriage at Exeter United Church, on
August 9th. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Norm Whiting, and the ginom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Ford Johnston. The maid of honour was Nancy Whiting,
sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Brenda
Vermont, friend of the bride and Nancy Miller, .sister
the bride. Dale Peck, friend of the groom, was best man.
Guests were ushered by Tom Johnston, brother ofthe
groom, and Brad Johnston, nephew of the groom. After a

wins flower show
The Seaforth Horticultural
Society held their annual
Flower Show on Wednesday
August 13th at the Legion
Hall. Organizers were quite
pleased with the show and
over 100 spectators viewed
the flowers throughout the
afternoon and evening. In
the adult class there were 28
exhibitors showing 304 ex-
hibits.
Obtaining most points and
winner of the Rose Bowl was
Steve Hildebrand with 59
points. Runner up was Mar-
-jorie Broadfoot with 57
points. Jean McEwen show-
ed the grand champion glad-
iolus. Rev. J.W. Sicbart of
Stratford was judge..
In the children's compet-
itions there were 12 exhibit-
ors showing 56 exhibits. Jack
and Helen -Van Loon were
tied for first place in the
children's scion and Mrs.
Doreen Strong was judge.

Wale. son of Mr. and Mrs, Maurice Van De Waite. R.R.

father. Her attendants were Miss Jayne/Delaney. Dublin.

while Jayne and Lucille Delaney sang duets of "Today"

Me", solo. A social afternoon was enjoyed by all guests at
the bride's home following the wedding ceTmony, StEve

'ceremonies at the dnet. Following dinner and reception
at Brodhagen Community Centre, the couple spent their
honeymoon on a trip up North. The couple are residing at
R.R. # 6 St. Marys. Attending the wedding were guests
from Hamilton,. Belgium, Kingston', Toronto, Parkhill,
