Reeve Krauter said there were i couple of parks that people could put trailers in. "I'm hoping we'll have the sewers by then, but I won't guarantee;" he said, 41 -11e-alsaid the -arena- could-frold-alornf functions and that if they were going to hold meetings, that there were. meeting rooms ere. 'We wish you all the succesS with it and anything Brussels can do to help;ave'll do it:' he said. One Man suggested that perhaps they could hold the celebrations in Belgrave and that the new park in Belgrave might be ready by that time. Bill Snortreed from the Walton Recreation Association sato that Walton had a big weekead this year (with the opening of the new recreation centre) and were considering having another big Walton weekend. with Morris Township as the theme. "We could possibly have it as a prelirde to the grand celebrations." It was later decided that something could be heldin Walton on the same weekend as the big celebration. Since school reunions were a big part of the celebrations when Morris celebrated it's 100th birthday in 1956, it was suggested people might like to sto something similar again. In the end it was decided those at the meeting would -contact somebody from each school section and they in torn would contact people who used to go to that school. These people are then to come to a public meeting at the Brussels. Morris and Grey Community Centre Monday, September 8 at 8:30 to discuss the setting up of various committees. People at the meeting decided they would like to hold their grand celebrations on the holiday weekend from July 31 to August 3, 1981. • Londesboro's Aimwell Unit has nature hike - Cheerio Clutr meeting was -held on-ThutSday Aiigusf at Vi Burns. The meeting opened with Dora Shobbrook acting chairman. • - • Roll call was answered by 11 members and 1 visitor, Mary Clark. . Minutes and financial re- port were read by Addie Thinking. A thank you from Bob Burns was also read. The draw donated by Tri Duizer was won by Stella Adams. Next -meeting will be Group 1. The program was , readings "when feather beds were a status Symbol," "Goose picking days" and "When mothers sick." A contest, a. telegram out of letters was also enjoyed. Cs.rds were played. Lunch was served by Vi Burns and Gladys Armstrong. AJMWELL Aimwell Unit held their meeting on Tuesday with si barbecue supper at Time Tebbutts river flats on the Maitland river in Goderich township. After a nature hike a short business meeting was held. Program included readings by Helen Lee and Mary Peel on the growth of a hemlock and cycle of a butterfly. The text meeting well be 'Sept. 15. Pat Starkhouse was admitted to St. Joseph's hospital, London on Wed- nesday with a compound fracture of her leg requiring 'surgery due to an accident between a mini bike and a truck. Mrs. Clara Riley returned home on,Wednesday Sept- ember 20 from spending 2 weeks with her daughter Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kelly and Kathy at Thunder Bay. Mrs. Virgie Williams of Women teachers Five area women at- tended the annual meeting o the Federation of Women Teachers' Associations o; Ontario held in Toronto from August 12-15. There were 600 delegates representing the women teachers in Ontario's etc- mentary public schools and the five who Intended from this area were: Marjorie Freeman of Robertson Memorial Public School, Goderich; Ra Mathers of Seafortoublic School; Mary Moffatt of Huron Centennial School. Brucefield; Dixie Lee Arbuckle of East Wawanosh and Turnberry Schools and Mary Joan Rathbun of Grev Exeter is spending this ritenth wit -Kb& daughter. Mi. and Mrs. Vic Starkhouse.
