speaker
Dwight Stacey of
Mitchell was guest speaker
for the August meeting of the
Seaforth W.I. and described
how the overall dairy
industry functions breaking
It into tiVo phases, the fluid
industry and the industrial •
part.
Eighty percent of the milk
produced in Canada is
produced in Ontario and
Quebec, he said. However
Quebec produces more than
it needs and Ontario is short
of milk so some of it is
coming into Ontario. To have
enough nfilk for Canada
every farmer producing milk
has a quota. he explained.
lvfilk produced over the
quota has to go out of the
country. He talked about and
displayed products made in
his own company in Mitchell.
