(Photo by Ellis) Dwight Stacey WI speaker Dwight Stacey of Mitchell was guest speaker for the August meeting of the Seaforth W.I. and described how the overall dairy industry functions breaking It into tiVo phases, the fluid industry and the industrial • part. Eighty percent of the milk produced in Canada is produced in Ontario and Quebec, he said. However Quebec produces more than it needs and Ontario is short of milk so some of it is coming into Ontario. To have enough nfilk for Canada every farmer producing milk has a quota. he explained. lvfilk produced over the quota has to go out of the country. He talked about and displayed products made in his own company in Mitchell. leaving them for the mem- bers to sample. Mr. Stacey was introduced by Mrs. Anne Agar and thanked by Mrs. J. Keys and presented him with a courtesy gift. This was the Agriculture and Canadtan industries meeting convened by Mrs. J. Keys. Mrs. A. Agar and Mrs. Mary Haugh. Mrs Keys chaired the program and gave the motto "Do we have to grow bigger and bigger?" This was followed with a reading ":tlebt and-Vhe Rural Life Style" by Mrs Keys. President Mrs. Eldon Kerr opened the meeting with a poem. welcomed everyone. and conducted the business The roll call was answered with "name a way to keep our young people on the farm.
