Seaforth studies damage
Seaforth council decided at
its last meeting that further
study would be needed
before action could be taken
as a result of sod damage in
front of the Seaforth
Creamery.
The grass, a major portion
of which is on public
property, has been damaged.
by trucks visiting the cream-
ery.
In late July the town
council infornied the
creamery by letter that
compensation must be made
fpr the damaged sod or the"
matter would be turned over
to its solicitor.
"The trouble is when
trucks are backing in with a
full load," said Les Seiler,
who represented the
business before council;
"that grass should be taken
out of there and the whole
thing put to sod."
"Our drivers don't drive
over the grass intentionally,'
Mayor John Sinnamon
pointed out that the area, on
Main St. S., had been
recently redesigned and
there was no asphalt on the
site before.
Councillor Gerald.
Groothuis noted that the

project's engineer should
have recognized the problem
before the construction was
started.
"We Should take a good
look at it to see what's going
on," said Reeve John Flan-
nery.
