Michael McLaughlin of R.R.
2, Dubin, marked their 50th
wedding anniversary with a
special mass held at St.
Patrick's Church. Dublin.
followed by a family, dinner
in Seaforth. The couple were
!ranged July 1. 1930 at St.
Joseph's Roman Catholic
Church in Clinton. Mrs.
McLaughlin is the daughter
of the- lite Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Healy. Mr.
McLaughlin is the son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick
McLaughlin.
Following their marriage
they lived in the Dublin area.
where they were involved in
farming. Besides farming.
Mr. McLaughlin worked for a
local, feed mill.
The couple had 13 child-
ren: one $tirl died at infancy.

Claessens of R.R. 1; Dublin was crowned
recently at a Benelux dance In St. Marys, as the
new Stratford Benelux Queen. Last year's
queen, Mary -Ellen Veldman of R.R. 3 Embro,
placed the crown on the new queen. Martha will
now compete in the Dutch Canadian Culture
Organization' of Ontario Competition in Sept-
ember in Burford, Ontario.
