Life That Jack Built, about
the life of painter, writer,
story teller Jack MacLaren.
In a collective ,production,
the director and actors work
together to structure a play

written until months afteuthe
production has been 7per*:

is time.
"It's a lot of hard work,"
she says. "Sometimes some-
one sparks an idea and
everyone contributes and
other times there is nothing,
it's an unknown:"
She describes the collect-

and that working without a
formal script does not bother .
her at all.
In looking towards the

there will be an increased
amount of opportujnities for
actors in Canada.
"I don't know if I'm being
foolishly optimistic," she
says, "or maybe I just
haven't been in the business
long enough -to know."
