These municipalities may not be able to get a further emergency certificate when the current one expires, but all have made financial contributions to the site's equipment and operation. Only Goderich Twp., Clinton and Goderich are entitled by law to use the site after the certificate expires. An amendment to the waste disposal site agreement has been proposed that will make the board responsible for the waste from the five emergency -using municipalities, and to make arran- gements to have the waste disposed of. Most of the 'boards member municipalities have signed the amendment, except Goderich which has yet to deal with it in committee, and Clinton. "It basically says we're all in this together," said board secretary Larry McCabe, administrator for The Town of Goderich. "Those municipalities not in the original agreement want protection." "Clinton would want the same thing," said Goderich Twp. Reeve Grant Stirling at the board's meeting June 14. Stirling is also WOWL GODERICH.
