Easter Sunday morning was a busy one
at the Hensall United Church. The day
started with the Easter Sunrise Service at
7 a.m. This service was conducted by the
Intermediate and Senior Sunday School
Classes. After the service about 111, of the
congregation enjoyed a delicious breakfast
put on by the Worship Committee of the
Official; Board,
The regular 8 a.m. service was begun
with a beautiful anthem sung by the choir
proclaiming that Jesus has indeed risen. It
was an impressive opening.
During the "Children's Time", Rev.
Wright talked with the children about
Easter eggs and with the help of his finger
puppets told of what could be put in an
empty one to illustrate that Easter means
new life.
Rev. Wright's sermon was entitled "An
Easter Faith" and dealt with need for
Easter to have a meaningful and real im-
pact on our lives today in 1990. Doug Mock
read the scripture lessons and the choir
sang "Come Ye Faithful".
Vacation Bible School will run on the
mornings of July 2 to 6. Last year this
highly successful program attracted 72
children. Teachers and helpers are needed.
If you can help, please call Bev Bell at
263-5579.

On every side great nature retells the
Easter story. So who am I to question "the
Resurrection Glory."
The Carmel Presbyterian Church was
filled with beautiful music on Easter Sun-
day. It was played by Carolyn Love at the
organ and Edith Bell at the piano. Follow-
ing the prelude Rev. Mark issued the call
to worship, gave a responsive reading and
sanctus was sung. Hymns of praise, con-
fession and assurance of pardon preceded
the children's hymn. The cnoir sang a very
fitting Easter anthem.
The homily by Rev. Mark was very in-
teresting and thought-provoking. Respon-
sive reading was pertaining to the theme
"Christ is Risen".
The announcements were: the Kirk Ses-
sions thanked the P.C.W. for the Easter
