Clickety-elick. Residents welcomed the
Sherri McCall stepdancers to the home on
Wednesday night. Their program included
various'song and dance numbers as well
as• plane and vocal solos. Residents' feet
were tapping as once upon a time Step
Dancers reflected on past memories.
"Be very quiet, so you don't scare the
rabbits." Grade 1 students from the
Seaforth Public School, under teacher
Mary Carroll, visited residents for the first
annual "Bunny Hunt". After splitting up
into groups the fearless Grade Is ventured
.off to find the mysterious brown bunnies.
After looking high and low (under Easter• .
lilies, on top of resident's pillows etc.) and
with a bit of aged guidance the bunnies
were all found. The students t'en sang
some Easter songs and everyone Axchang-
ed Easter treats.
In the afternoon, the Manor's volunteer
ladies, hosted a euchre. Big winners in-
cluded: mens high, Art Hallam; ladies
high, Mamie Ross; lone hands, Annie Har-
rison; mens low, Pat Ryan; and ladies
low, Maxine Elliott. Thanks to Hazel
McGonigle for her tasty scones and hot
Legion members
Seventy-three years ago the Battle of
Vimy Ridge had just been won by the
Canadian Army. In as much as the Cana-
dians were the victors, there had been
severe casualties as the Canadian War
Cemetery nearby, can attest. At the Cana -
'an portion of the cemeteries, the stones
have death recorded within a day or
tw0 of one another. Further up the road is
a German Cemetery holding some ,000
graves. To s' : y the Cana 'an National War
Memorial which was unveiled by his Ma -
'ter.

School visited Seaforth Manor residents last week for Easter festivities. Manor
residents treated the kids to a bunny hunt, and one intrepid adventurer went to

they decorated Easter Eggs. Mabel Handy,
Eva Nelnke and Annie Harrison all thought
the eggs should be "taste" tested first.
In the evening, residents gathered in the
flarge sitting room for bingo. Winners
were; Marguerite Shill, Mary Essery,
Gladys Ruston, Penny Caza, Marg Haase,
Frank Smale, Maria Goovaerts, Dennis
Arney, Dave Netzke, and Wilma Brill. The
dollar coin game went to Keith Herman.
Thanks to Doreen Kelly, Anne Downey and
Viola Lawson for helping at the tables.
Over the Easter holiday many residents
received family and friends. Visiting Edith
Jessome were Lloyd and Gladys Fongman,
Ralph Bonn, Les and Carl Jessome and on
Good Friday she had her family for easter
supper. Lorne Lawson was visited by Jack
and Helen Lee and Clara and Katie Dale.
Anne and Jerry Ryan, Jack and Monica
Ryan and husband Lawrence Ryan visited
Marjorie Ryan. Gertie Tayler received
Clarence and Ruth Taylor. Iva Reid was in
to visit her aunt Cassie Nicholson and Rose
Altman visited her parents Dave and Eva
Netzke. Everyone enjoyed a traditional
Easter meal of ham and scalloped
potatoes.
