open at the point, and set him up with a
clear shot at Parry Sound's net. A
breakaway at the four minute mark almost
put Parry Sound in the lead, except for the
quick pad save of the Seaforth goalie. The
minutes ticked away in the first period,
but both Parry Sound and Seaforth pack-
ed in plenty of action in this time. With the
puck in Parry Sound's end, Jeff Flanagan
passed the puck to Schoonderw.oerd, who
set up Janne McNichol for Seaforth's se-
cond goal. McNichol blew the puck from
the top of the circle past the Parry Sound
goalie. Schoonderwoerd was again a thorn
in Parry Sound's side when he blew the
puck through the legs of the screened
goalie and saw it stop In the net. Joe Mur-
ray and Mike Weber set him up. With 49
seconds left in the period Parry Sound
came back and deked Seaforth's goalie to
score their second goal and show the fans
why they were finalists in All Ontario too.
Seaforth stretched the lead to 4-2 at the
14:26 mark of the second when Schoonder-
woerd again set up Mike Devereaux, who
drew the Parry Sound goalie out of posi-
tion and passed the puck to Boyd
Devereaux, who flipped in Seaforth's fourth
goal. Mike Weber heard his hard shot ring
off a goal post seconds later and rebound
out to the corner of the ice. Parry Sound
came back with the puck, scoring their
third goal by blasting it from the slot at
the Seaforth goalie. Agar was unable to
save the rebound.
Mike Watt battled in Parry Sound's end
for possession of the puck and was able to
set up defenceman Schoonderwoerd's hat
trick goal and Seaforth's fifth goal.
Schoonderwoerd flipped the puck high in
the air and had it land right where It
counted - behind the Parry Sound goalie.
Mike Watt kept the Parry Sound goalie on
his toes when he blasted a shot at point
blank range at the net. The Parry Sound
goalie covered up, and the rebound was
lost in a tangle of players' bodies and feet.

checking by Mike Hugill and Mike Moylan
stymied any chance Parry Soundhad to
capitalize on their powerplay. Defeneeman
Brad Moore's hard shot from the point re-
bounded out to Mike Devereaux who end-
ed the period by blasting the puck at the
Parry Sound netminder. A quick glove
save, however, kept the score at 5-3 for
Seaforth.
At the 13:39 mark of the third period the
determination of Mike Devereaux shone
through, when he chalked up Seaforth's
sixth goal, set up by Boyd Devereaux and
Schoonderwoerd. Parry Sound had a close
scoring chance when they tried jamming
the puck in the corner of the Seaforth net,
but Agar gave them no room. Mike Watt
won the puck from the face-off and gave
Mike Weber the room to break over Parry
Sound's blue line and deke the goalie for
Seaforth's seventh and final goal. Parry
Sound increased the pressure in Seaforth's
end and was able to pump in their fourth
goal off a rebound. Schoonderwoerd broke
up a potential breakway at the 9:41 mark
of the third on a powerplay by Parry
Sound. The hard shot let go by the Parry
Sound player at the blue line was
smothered by the Seaforth goalie. Steve
Mclnally rushed back and skated a Parry
Sound player off the puck when he got a
lead pass and broke in towards Seaforth's
net. Goalie Chad Lamont, finishing off the
game in net for Seaforth, made a quick
skate save on the last big channce Parry
Sound had In this third and final game.
It was a season that many hockey
players and fans will remember. With the
team plagued with injuries throughout the
season, each and every player had to come
forth with great determination and effort
to make this the championship team that
it is. Coaches BW Weber and Jim Moore
are to be congratulated for guiding this
team through this truly successful season
of hockey. Congratulations to all members
of this All Ontario Chamionship team -
the Seaforth Peewee "CC"s.
