Seaforth Branch 156 of the Royal Cana-
dian Legion had several of its members
and their wives attend a Zone Honors and
Awards Banquet at Branch 109 Goderieh
last Saturday evening. Those receiving
medals and bars for past service to the
Zone were: Al Nicholson, Cleave Coombs,
Jack Muir, Jack Baker, Gordon Scott,
Charles Woods, Jim Brown, Bill Wilbee
and Gordon DeJong. Dinner was served by
the Ladies Auxiliary to Branch 109, and
dancing was enjoyed afterwards.
The Seaforth Branch would like to con-
gratulate the Peewee CC team on its suc-
cessful win over Parry Sound on the
weekend. With the win the Peewees
became the Ontario Minor Hockey CC

,Also on the sports scene, the bowlers are
only two weeks away from the end of their
season. The last Saturday afternoon of
darts was played last Saturday.
This coming Saturday the entertainment
committee is holding a barbecue, with a
dance to ,follow. Tickets are available at
the bar, and front committee members.
There Is, a hat . provided for anyone
wishing' 'to go to .the district meeting in
'leveler on, April 28 and 29. It is hanging
just as you walls into the club rooms.
Anyone Interested should sign their namt
either for the weekend, or just for Sunday
Meeting this month- are: the Executive
on April 12, and the general membershir
on April 19. Botts meetings are at 8 p.m.
At the going down of the sun, and in the
morning, we will remember them.

God's Earth. Alice Gardiner introduced a
skit based on the Philippines' struggle for
economic justice and national sovereignty.
Roles taken by all the members explored
the attitudes of - a female sugar -cane
worker, a female student, a male factory
worker, two revolutionary Ieaders, a
political activist, a tribal Filipino, a
landless, jobless person, a Protestant lay
person, a doctor, a small farmer, a
general, a bishop, and President McKinley.
They told how the selling of their coun-
try to the USA by Spain had affected them
and gave some of the reasons for revolu-
tion in their country. They look on some of
the benefits provided by foreign countries
as impositions on them.
Doris Miller read the scripture from
Ephesians 4: 11-16 and gave the meditation
on loving your neighbor 'as yourself. It
noted that you have to love yourself before
you can love others, and bragging is a
sure sign of insecurity.
The roll was answered with a verse from
Proverbs. Plans were made for the Good

The Hibbert Knutty Kneaders held their
sixth meeting on March 31 at the home of
Maria Vogels.
Jenny DeJong opened the meeting with
the 4-H pledge. Ten girls answered the roll
call. Janet Vanden Hoven read the minutes
of the last meeting. Mary Jane Coyne
demonstrated making "Betty's Pizza
Bread" while Sheila Litt and Heather
McMillan prepared the pizza filling. Karen

demonstrated "Pita Bread." The girls
played the "Stone Bread" game and
"Bread, Win Lose or Draw" game while
waiting on the breads to rise and bake.
Melanie Cronin made another "Betty's Piz-
za Bread."
Achievement Night is set for May 2.
Each member reported which recipe they
intend to make for the Catholic Women's
League Bake Auction on Good Friday.
The next meeting will be on April 16 to
prepare the exhibit for Achievement Night.
Books are due at that meeting.
Lunch was served. Betty's Pizza Bread
and the Hi-Fi Pita Bread with fillings were
enjoyed by all. The meeting adjourned.

held their first meeting on Saturday,
March 10, in the Family Life Centre.
The elected officers are: President -

Group leader is Doris Jeffery and

Thursday, March 15 at the Hibbert United
Church.

visited with Don and Eileen MacRae for
the weekend and attended the Knights of
Columbus Communion Breakfast in St.
Augustine on Saturday.
