Wright.

Wright told the children about the grace of
God and all the gifts that God gives us
because he loves us. The Junior Class of
the Sunday School presented their special
offering to the Bible Society for Bibles to
be sent to Papua, New Guinea.
Rev. Wright's sermon was based on the
scripture taken from the Old Testament in
Exodus 17:14 and was entitled "Is the
Lord in "Our Midst?". Rev. Wright assured
us that God is indeed in our midst and
that he is waiting to help and comfort us
in spite of all the troubles that distress us.
Tammy Presczator read the scripture
lessons. Donna St. John and the choir sang
"When the Morning Guilds The Skies".

Precious Pets disc'_ ss
grooming techniques
The third meeting of Seaforth Precious
Pets was held March 2 at 7 p.m. at the
home of Gerda Vanden Hoven. President
Karen opened the meeting with the 4-H
pledge. Twelve members were present.
Jenny De Jong read the minutes from the
second meeting. Everyone answered the
roll call, which was to name a kind of
animal smaller than a loaf of bread. There
were a variety of answers from the
members.
Everyone participated in discussions
about grooming pets - including brushing,
trimming .their hair, clipping their•.nails
and washing them. They learned that they
must start this early so their pet will grow
accustomed to this routine and enjoy being
groomed. They also learned the proper
way to groom pets.
After talking about the tools for groom-
ing 4-1 members looked at different
brushes, curry combs, clippers and a few
other grooming tools. For the activity
everyone divided into groups and research-
ed grooming techniques in the Animal
Care Guides. Every group reported back to
the rest of the members what they had
learned.
Members picked a cover for their project
with Kerrie Thompson's idea being chosen.
