The Walton Women's Ilstitiite basted the
February Birthday Party at Calendar's
Nursing Home in Brussels last Wednesday
afternoon. Over 20 people gathered in the
main room to enjoy the program.
Marion Godkin welcomed eveayne. Mar-
jory Humphries was at the piano and
Phyllis Mitchell played her violin and
entertained with many toe tapping times,
everyone seemed to enjoy. Marion and
Phyllis sang many favorite old tunes.
Marion introduced the leader of the
Brussels Band .from the Brussels Public
School who badbrought over nine of the
pupils who played several numbers with
their different instruments. They were ac-
companied by their leader Bill Parson on
the drums.

presented with a small gift on behalf of the
Institute.
Cupcakes donated by Ruth Axtmann and
Betty McCall and cup of tea were served
to all those present.

held in the basement following the service.

Maxine Houston entertained her Sunday
School Class to an outdoor education pro-
gram at Camp Tawingo, Huntsville this
past weekend. Students included Cindy
McCallum, Sharon Godkin, Lori McClure,
Barb 'amble, Shannon Craig. Chris Davies
and Chris <-Saver. They left Friday nook
returning home Sunday evening.

Leaders Ruth .Ast_mann and Ruth Schade
began by leading the 4-11 pledge. Next
members watched how to make "Whole
Wheat Twist Loaf" and all took part in the
kneading process. They discussed the
meeting's business-and-eleeted-the officers: -
After that they enjoyed previously
prepared bread, and' fancy butters. The
meeting was Mdjoulnted with _the 4-11 -mot-
to "Learn to do by doing".
On February 15, 1990 the second meeting
of McKillop III 441 Club was held. It was
opened with the 441 pledge followed by a
demonstration by -the leaders, on "Basic

After members sampled the breads they
discussed. our Club name, deciding ;on

Meladys celebrate infant's second birthday

Lisa Melady, daughter of Tom and
Joanne Melady celebrated her second bir-
thday on Saturday, March 3. With Lisa on
Saturday to celebrate her birthday were
Nancy and Patrick Kale, John and
Jeanette Crowley, Theresa Cronin, Kelly
and Diane and Patsy Crowley, Julianne
and Jane. On Sunday with Lisa and her
parents were John and Lenie Roks 'of
Deleware, Ted and Frances Melady, Cathy
Roks and David of London, Brian Melady
of Mitchell, Sean and Brian Melady and
Don Melady of Toronto.
Mary and Barbara Feeney of Stratford
spent the weekend with their parents Ferg
and Teresa Feeney.
Home on the weekend with Cecilia Ryan
were Louise Ryan of Kitchener and Mary
Jo Nelson of Lucknow. On Saturday even-
ing Keith and Rita Kelly of Stratford and
Sister Margaret Rose Eckert of Strathroy
visited with their sister, Cecilia Ryan.
The Hibbert 4-H Club "The Knutty
Kneaders" met at the home of Maria
Vogels at 7 pm op Tuesday, February 27.
The meeting was opened with the 4-11
pledge and 11 members answered the roll
call. Jenny Ryan demonstrated how to
make refrigerated crescent rolls and Sheila
Litt demonstrated shaping crescent rolls
from the refrigerated dough made ahead
by leader Maria Vogels. While the crescent
rolls were rising Janet Vanden Hoven
demonstrated making brown batter rolls.
Discussion was held on the different

powder and baking soda, make ahead
dough, batter dough, quick breads and suc-
cess of freezing bread dough. Review
sheets were discussed and filled in. After
the crescent rolls and batter buns were
baked the girls tried them and liked their
products. The next meeting will be on
March 14 at Maria Vogels.
K OF C EUCHRE
Eight tables were in play Friday night at
the Knights of Columbus euchre game in
St. Columban. Winners were Mamie
Delaney, ladies high; Brother Jerry Mur-
ray, men's high; Elmer Feeney, most lone
hands; consolation, Louis Kramers; door
prize, Cecilia Ryan. The next game is Fri-
day, March 9 at 8 pm in the K of C hall,
St. Columban. Lunch is provided and
everyone is welcome.
Dublin Correspondent Police Village as well, and is the 25th year
MRS. EIILEEN MacRAE he has attended.

been David and Tasha Steinbach from Mit-
chell; Keith and Rita Kelly, Stratford;
Nancy Storey from Clinton; Rose Marie
Boryswick and children Tammy, Grant
and Danielle, Stratford. Anne Hurley,
Stratford, was up this past Sunday to visit
her parents.
Recent visitors with Mrs• Millie Evans
have been Mrs. Gerard Marchand from
Windsor; Bill and Marj Evans from
Niagara Falls, Rosemary,:, Eyans and
'Margaret -Evans fcom.doderieh: Jack and
Marie Cleary, London, have returned safe-
ly home from a holiday in the Orient. They
were up to visit their mother last week.
Mrs. K. Murray was in Waterloo last
weekend with Ceril and Rosemarie Mur-
ray. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Kerslake from
Exeter were recent visitors of Mrs. Mur-
ray. Kevan Malady also visited.
Mrs. Olga Eckert and Jim Small, ill
friends of us all in the village, are
remembered in our prayers.
Don and Eileen MacRae have returned
from a February holi e! :ly in Florida. While
touring here and there, many people from
the Dublin district were seen. Everyone
was enjoying the warm temperatures. On
the way down, they went by Washington,
D.C., and spent a few days with Ken and
Mary MacRae and family in Maryland
(Silver Springs). On the way home, an
evening was spent at the. Grand Ole••Qpry
in Nashville, Tennessee.
Graeme Leslie, trustee for Dublin, ac-
companied by wife Louise, represented the
Police Village at the Good Roads Associa-
tion Convention at the Royal York in
Toronto on Feb. 26, 27 and 28.
Donald J. MacRae, hydro chairman, ac-
companied by wife Eileen, attended the
Municipal Electric Association annual
meeting at the Royal York in Toronto on
March 4, 5 and 6. Don represented the
Cranbrook euchre boasts 18 tables on play

table, Becci Ruppel, Margaret Brown,
Lourdes Genosa, Annie Engel; tallies, Jack
Conley, Dorothy Dilworth, Shirley
Verstoep, Doris Jacklin, Lloyd Smith, John
Simpson. The Canadian Order of Foresters
are sponsoring the euchre March 9.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert VanDonkersgoed,
West Montrose, were renewing ac-
quaintences here on Sunday, March 4.

Mrs. Stuart Stevenson was hostess for
the World Day of Prayer service on March
2. Mrs. Murray Crawford as leader was
assisted in the service by readers Mrs.
Leslie Knight, Mrs. Jack Knight, Mrs.
Stevenson and Mrs. Donald Perrie. The
service was followed with readings in
unison and the meditation by Mrs.
Crawford.
The business for the regular March
meeting was conducted by Mrs. Stevenson.
Mrs. Crawford read the minutes and roll
