A Blyth area rTHEFT
esident left his car park-
ed outside the Blyth Inn on January 12,
199Q, and between midnight and 1 a.m., so-
meone stole his broomball equipment out
of the car.
Stolen: Two Old Vienna duffel bags, blue
with a white strap and Old Vienna emblem
on the sides.
• One pair size sus broombail shoes.
• One pair of shinpads.
• One pair of gloves with initials M.B.
• One pair of black broomball pants with
red stripes and #10 on the sides.
• One black sweater with initials S.P. on
the throat area.
• One blue Cooper SK600 helmet with a
white wire facemask and the #12 on it
along with the initials M.B. on the inside.
On January 18, 1990, one of the stolen
bags was found in the ditch off #25 Coun-
ty Rd„ near Blyth. Anyone knowing
anything about this theft is asked to call
the Wingham O.P.P. or Crime Stoppers.

break and enters (in excess of 50) along
the Lake Huron shoreline, extending from

Drysdale.
These crimes have been occurring con-
tinuously from late November until the
present. A variety of items such as the
following have been taken: liquor, food,
bedding, tools, television, binoculars,
telescopes, pellet pistols, metal detectors,
kerosene heaters, microfurnaces and
clothing.
MEAT AND FOOD THEFTS
There have been a number of thefts of
food from residences in the Exeter O.P.P.
area.
There were several frozen chickens, beef,
pork, and beer stolen from a residence in
at Lot 15 Concession 11, Hay Township,
R.R. #3, Zurich, between November 23-29,
1989.
A break in occurred in the morning
hours between February 5-10, 1990 at a
residence at R.R. #1, Woodham (Near

Huron ltd., ll Usborne Township).
Stolen was $300 Wirth of meat, (sirloin
steak, blade roasts) packaged in Veal's
Meat Market paper.
Sometime in the morning of January 8,
1990, a residence, at L9 C4 Hay Township
and another at L21 010 Stephen Township,
R R #3 Dashwood, were entered and beer,
liquor, . toiletries and ,food were stolen.

WINS AWARD - Norman East of Seaforth was the recent recipient of the Jimmy
Dean Award, presented at the January 9 Awards Night of the Lakeshore Campus
of Humber College. The Jimmy Dean award is presented to the student, who in
the first year of the Funeral Service Education Program, most closely emulates the
characteristics of Jimmy Dean - those being sensitivity, caring and thoughtfulness
combined with an exceptional sense of humor. Making the presentation to Mr. East
is Ward George, Instructor of Funeral Service Education at the College. Submit-

D A. BUCHANAN
Willar chanair of-Hensall died
-Weill esdaja, 'February 21, 1990 et the
Seaforth Community Hospital. He was 93.
Mr. Buchanan is survived by nephews;
Donald Buchanan of Londesborough,
Wilfred Buchanan of ! ryanston, Fred
Buchanan of Clinton, Lawrence and Lloyd
Buchanan of London and Gordon and Ken
Buchanan of British Columbia; and nieces,
Joyce Cook of Clinton, Mary Palmer of
London and Doris Bestard of Parkhill.
Mr. Buchanana was predeceased by two
sisters, Margaret and Jenny and four
brothers, Wilfred, Orville, Alfred and
Robert.
Friends called at the R.C. Dinney
Funeral Horne in Exeter and a complete
funeral service was held at the funeral
home on Friday, February 23. The
Reverend Doug Wright officiated. Spring
interment in Hensall Union Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy memorial
donations to the Seaforth Community
Hospital would be appreciated.
ELIIZABETH "BESSIE" MCCUTCHEON
Elizabeth "Bessie" McCutcheon of Mor-
ris Township, died Tuesday, February 20,
1990 at the Callander Nursing Home in
Brussels. She was 89.
The former Bessie Campbell, she is sur-
vived by sons, Donald of London and
Harold of Portland, Oregon; and a
daughter-in-law, Marjorie (Mrs. H. McCut-
cheon) of Rodney.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; 17
great-grandchildren; a sister, Jessie Jones
of Huronview, Clinton; a sister -in- ;:w, An-
nie Campbell of, Morris „Township; ,.and a
brother -m law,.;• Wesleyr, McCuteheon of
Bolton.
Mrs. McCutcheon was predeceased by
her husband, William; sisters, Mae
Coulter, Margaret Proctor and Isabelle
Workman; and a brother, Oliver Campbell.
Friends called at the Betts Funeral
Horne, Brussels Chapel, on Thursday, and
a funeral service was held on Friday.
Spring interment St. John's Anglican
Cemetery, Morris Township.
AUDREY J. DIXON
Audrey J. Dixon of Hensall died Satur-
day, February 24 at South Huron Hospital,
Exeter. She was 58.
The former Audrey Harrison, she is sur-
vived by her husband, Donald Dixon, of
Hensall; two daughters, Wendy Dixon of
Cereal, Alberta and Sandra and her hus-
band, Detlef Janssen of Midland; and one
son John and his wife Tina of Port Severn.
She is also survived by her brothers, Le
Roy Harrison of Centralia, Robert Harrison
of Lucan and Wayne Harrison of Stratbroy.
Funeral services were held at the C.
Hasket and Son Funeral Home, Lucan, on
Monday, February 26 with Rev. Deborah
Carter of Centralia United Church
presiding. Interment Carlisle Cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Socie-
ty would be appreciated by the family.
