On Thursday Morning we gathered for
"Show and Tell'" everyone brought their
favorite Christmas tiff down and talked a
bit about Christmas' past.

Year's Eve Party, featuring Guy Lomardo
and his orchestra, fancy sandwiches and a
punch that would "curl your hair!" Win-

PAUL RAPHAEL RYAN
Paul Raphael Ryan of St. Columban died
en Friday, December 29 as the result of a
motor vehicle accident. He was 19.
Son of Ron and Mary' Ryan of St. Colum -
ban, and brother of Joseph of Lahr, Ger-
many; John 0 London; Margaret and her
husband Paul Ford of Stratford; and
Stephen, Kathleen, Bill and Julianne, all at
home. Very special friend of Linda
Louwagie. Grandson of Mrs. Rita Ryan of
St. Columban, and Mrs. Agnes Walsh of
Stratford.
Friends were received at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth on Sunday,
December 31 with Knights of Columbus
prayers held at the funeral home on Sun-
day evening. Mass of the Christian Burial
was held on Monday, January 1 at the St.
Columba!' Roman Catholic Church, St. Col-
umban. Interment St. Columban Cemetery.

Mrs. Annie Reid of Seaforth,
formerly 0 Walton, died Monday,
December 25 at Seaforth Community
Hospital. She was 82.
A daughter 0 the late George McTag-
gart and the former Margaret Johnson,
she was predeceased. by her husband,
Nelson Reid.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her sisters-in-
law, Mrs. Edna-HackWell and Mrs. Mar-
jorie Ryan, both of Seaforth, brother-in-law
Lawrence Ryan of Waatd i,' and nieces. and

were held there on Thursday,:. December

MELVIN CLARKE,
Melvin E. Clarke 0 Huronview, Clinton
and formerly of Seaforth died on Sunday,
December 31 He was 83.
Mr. Clarks, is survived by his wife, the
former Eva Epps, sons Elliott of Winnipeg
and Ernest of Toronto, daughters Betty
Oldacre and May Watterworth, both of
Seaforth and one brother, William G. of
Goderich. Also survived by 12 grand-
children and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family received friends at the
Whitney-Ribey.Funeral Home, Seaforth on
Tuesday, January 2, with Masonic
Memorial services held on Tuesday even-
ing. Funeral services will be held on
Wednesday, January 3 at 2 p.m. Interment
Bayfield Cemetery.
ALLAN ARMIES
Allan Armes of Seaforth died on Sunday,
December 24 at the Stratford General
Hospital. He was 81.
Mr. Armes was predeceased by his wife,
the former Annie Homuth.
He is survived by a son Walter, of
Egmondville; a daughter, Mrs. Donald
(Mary) Hatheway of Windsor; and a
brother, Arthur J. of Michigan. Also sur-
viving are four grandchildren and one
great-grandchild. He was predeceased by
two sisters, Ethel and Alberta.
Friends were received at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home, and funeral services
were held there on Wednesday, December
27.
ZACHARIAH ALPHONUS RYAN
Zachariah Alphonus Ryan of Goderich St.
E., Seaforth died on Saturday, December
30 at Stratford General Hospital. He was
78.
Mr. Ryan is survived by his wife, the
former Mary Murray, son Jim and his
wife Joanne, and daughter Mary Elizabeth
and her husband George Kreutzwiser, all
of McKillop Township; and four
grandchildren.
Also surviving are brothers Leo of Kit-
chener, Frank of Seaforth and Earl of Lon-
don; and sisters Mrs. Rita Smith of Dublin
and Mrs. Anne McEachern of Parkhill.
Predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and
Clarence, and one sister Laura.
Friends were received at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth on Monday,
January 1 and Tuesday, January 2, with
Parish Prayers held at the funeral home
on Tuesday evening. Mass of the Christian
Burial will be held on Wednesday, January
3, 11 a.m., at St. James Roman Catholic
Church, Seaforth. Interment St. Columban
Cemetery.
WILLIAM JOSEPH BRADLEY
William Joseph Bradley of Walton died
on Friday, December 29 as the result of a
motor vehicle accident. He was 67.
Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife,
Joan Flatt. Also surviving is son Kevin of
Walton, daughter Lynne Owen of England,
and one granddaughter, Annabel.
The family will receive their friends at
the Whitney-Ribey' Funeral 'Home,'
Seaforth, on Wednesday, January 3 from
2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Private services will
be held on Thursday, January 4 at 11 a.m.,
followed by cremation.

nounced in his May 1989 budget that health
care premium revenue will be replaced by
the Employer Health Tax on January 1,
1990.
During the transition to the Employer
Health Tax, all Ontario residents will be
covered for the health services they need.
All OHIP subscribers are expected to
make their premium payments up to
December 31, 1989.
All existing Ontario health insurance
numbers remain unchanged, and
subscribers should continue to use their
current indentification. As long as they re-
main residents of Ontario, their coverage
will remain valid and premium free after
December 31, 1989.
Subscribers should contact their nearest
Ministry of Health office directly if there
is a change in their family status or
address.
