Kitchener. A number of homes in the area were without hydro for a couple of hours on Thursday and Friday evenings. The Youth Group were out carolling on Friday evening as was a group from the' Mennonite Church. Court Woodbine M100 of the Canadian Order of Foresters met on December 12 in Cranbrook Hall. Following the opening ex- ercises and the business, Sister Nancy Jean Craig conducted some games that everyone enjoyed. Lunch and a social time followed. Lloyd and Bery Smith had their family in for Christmas. Holiday week visitors with Don and Mrs. Cotton were Donald Starr of Newmarket, Garnet Starr and Joyce Brown of Wallaceburg, Angus and Mrs. Starr of Alliston, and Elliott Somers. Lawn Bowling club hosts 36 at bridge, euchre social The Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club held its December Euchre and Bridge at the Orange Hall on Tuesday evening, December 19th. There were 36 members present and hostesses were Isabel Hunt, Rose Ryan, Mary McMillan and Ida Diehl. Winners of euchre were: ladies' and men's high - Verde Sinclair and Art Finlayson. Lone hands - Mary Finlayson and Bert Walters. Consolation - Thelma Dale and Mary Connolly. Parents • from page 2 Kevin Drager, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Drager of Seaforth, born at 4:35 p.m. Mrs. Drager is the former Dorothy Regele, and Kevin is their fifth child. Well-known Seaforth businessman Sid Pullman sold his business this week. The new owner of Pullman's Barber Shop is Gordon Tyndall of Clinton. Mr. Pullman began his trade in 1923 when he learned barbering with Walter Robinson in what is now Savauge's Jewellry Store. Hildebrand's Paint and Paper are mark- ing the first anniversary of the opening of their Seaforth store, but as far as Barney Hildebrand, the senior partner of the firm is concerned, it is a fiftieth anniversary. His long association with the decorating business began in Zurich, where he learn- ed the trade with trade with the late Ferg Hess, painting buggy and cutter boxes. Seaforth Council for 1990 is Reeve N.C. Cardno, Mayor John Flannery, Deputy Reeve Carl Dalton, Clerk Lyle Hammond, and Councillors Walter Murray, Brian Flannigan, Wilmer Cuthill, Rev. H.
