12th Annual Lucknow Terry Fox Run
Several area residents registered to run on September 20
Barb VanDiepenbeek and Sharon Petteplace were kept busy
with registration at the Lucknow Terry Fox Run held September
20, 2015. Lucknow youth Damion Donaldson, Mikayla Havens
and Kealan Conley finished their paperwork.

NWMO Learn More Centre
The Township of Huron -Kinloss is one of several communities
in the early stages of learning about Adaptive Phased
Management (APM), Canada's plan for the safe, long-term
management of used nuclear fuel. The Nuclear Waste
Management Organization is working collaboratively with the
community to advance preliminary assessment studies.
If you would like to learn about APM, meet NWMO staff, ask
questions or offer your thoughts, please drop in to the NWMO
community office and Learn More Centre in Ripley.

Carter's Crokinole Report

On Wednesday September
16, 5 tables of keen players
had an enjoyable evening of
crokinole at the Scone School
House. After the shooting
was complete the following
winners were announced.
On the men's side it was
Clare Kuepfer taking first
with 45 points, Al Carter
secured second with
39 and placing third with
38 points was a tie between
Elmer Cook and
Jack MacLeod. As for the
twenties it was Al Carter
having 47 Elmer Cook and
Jack MacLeod tied for sec-
ond with 33 and Clare shot
32 for third.
On the ladies side it was
Cathy Kuepfer claiming first
with 39 points, Jo -Ann Carter
took second with 37 and
Amelia Hartman had 36 for
third. Cathy also took first in
the twenties with 25, Jo -Ann
collected 24 for
second and Sharmane
Carter and Janet Diebel shot
17 for third.
Lucky door prize winners
were Carman Hodgkinson,
Orville Cook and Ginette
Brady.
Before heading home for
the evening everyone was
reminded of the next date
being October 7.
