The winner of the Sepoy Salloon Showdown for 2015 was Vanessa
Marie Carter of Oakville. Carter gave two performances on the
Sepoy Emerging Artist stage on Saturday, August 29 at 6:30 p.m.
and 9:30 p.m. to an enthusiastic and appreciative audience.
Riverbend Gentlemen
The first act at Lucknow's Music in the Fields on the Sepoy
Emerging Artist stage on Friday, August 28 was Riverbend
Gentlemen.
A tradition at Lucknow's Music in the Fields is to have someone
local come onto the stage to sing the National Anthem. This year
the honour went to Serena Rutledge of Kincardine (right). The
winner of the online video contest to announce the performance
of Chad Brownlee on Saturday, August 29, 2015 was Dustine
Crawley (left) of London.
Abby Gibson of Stockyards Western Apparel in Ripley helps
Tammy Jansen of Waterloo find some new boots at their vendor
booth at Lucknow's Music in the Fields on August 28, 2015.
Although the side stage at Lucknow's Music in the Fields had
their first performance begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 28,
the attendees were unable to get closer than the fence dividing
the field as the saloon was not opened until 7 p.m. Enjoying
the Riverbend Gentlemen from left: with the band are Sarah
Whitehead, Carrie Burke, behind the fence are "Southampton fans
of their local boys" Tina Smith, Mary Rodgers, Dave and Crystal
DesJardins, Vicki Tomaoni, Dar Noble.
The Main Stage (left) is the main attraction at Lucknow's Music in
the Fields. Between acts, the Sepoy Emerging Artists stage (right)
keeps the crowd entertained with even more country music.
The video monitor (centre) is one of two flanking the Main Stage
with a third placed behind the audio/video tent to ensure that all
attendees can see the action on the main stage. These monitors
also serve as information screens between acts.

There is so much more to
Lucknow's Music in the
Fields than the music. This is
the biggest festival that the
Lucknow Kinsmen have
hosted. For being in such a
small community, this has
grown into an amazing event
that does our area proud.
The September 2 edition of
the Lucknow Sentinel carried
photos of most of the bands
and artists who performed in
the 2015 lineup. Due to space
limitations, the remaining three
acts are featured in this edition.
All reports heard to date con-
firms that it was an amazing
lineup. Kudos to the Kinsmen.

partner Johnny Ioannou
exclaims he has never seen
another festival he works

it is getting bigger and big-

the high volume, the ticket

they were able to work to

Ioannou stated, "We will be

The Riverbend Gentlemen
were the first act to kick off
the Music in the Fields festi-
val this year. They took to the
side Sepoy Emerging Artists
stage at 6:30 p.m. on Friday,
August 28. Unfortunately,
the Sepoy Salloon was not
open until 7 p.m. which kept
the fans and the band sepa-
rated for the first portion of
their set. That did not stop
either fans or the Riverbend
Gentlemen from having a
good time enjoying the
music.
