HACKETT, Barbara - beloved wife of
Alvin Hackett, of Lucknow, passed away at
the Wingham & District Hospital on Monday
November 16, 2015 at age 84. Survived by
3 daughters; Brenda Stewartson of
Goderich, Karen McCracken of Exeter and
Koreen Hickey of London, and special
daughter Sherri. Also missed by daughter-
in-law Kathy McCracken of Belgrave, 12
grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by sons John & Jim
McCracken, daughter Heather Fox, 4
grandsons, one granddaughter and brother
Bill Walker. Visitation was held from
MacKENZIE & McCREATH FUNERAL
HOME, Lucknow on Wednesday
November 18, 2015 from 2 - 4 PM. A
Funeral Service was conducted from the
chapel on Thursday November 19, 2015 at
1:30 PM. Interment Greenhill Cemetery.
Donations to Diabetes, Heart & Stroke or
the Alzheimers Society were greatly
appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

The family of the late Betty Van Osch wish
to express our deep appreciation and grati-
tude to all those who have offered such
kindness, support and comfort to us all at
this difficult time. We would like to thank all
the doctors and nurses at the London Can-
cer Clinic as well as A.M.&G. Hospital,
Goderich for the excellent and thorough
care Betty received, especially in the last
few weeks of her life. Thanks to all who
stopped in to visit in the hospital, brought
food, sent flowers, donated in Betty's
memory or helped prepare and serve the
meal between visitations. Special thanks to
the Kingsbridge Community Choir for the
music at the funeral, the St. Joseph's CWL
& Ashfield Trinity Ladies for providing the
lunch and especially the Kingsbridge Com-
munity Centre and volunteers that helped
make our mom's visitation such a beautiful
and special celebration of her life. Many
thanks to Father Morrison for officiating the
funeral service as well as Deacon Brian for
your many visits, prayers and support to the
family throughout this journey. Also, thanks
to MacKenize & McCreath Funeral Home
and Amy and Mary Ellen for your excellent
care, comforting words and guidance when
we needed it most. Betty's love of life, kind
and compassionate nature and beautiful
soul will live on in her many children and
grandchildren...she will be missed but never
forgotten. You call it Chaos, we call it

In Memory of Frances Smuck (Hamilton)
April 18, 1927 - November 16, 2015
Peacefully at Mount Hope on November 16,
2015, Frances Ann Smuck of London in her
89th year. Beloved wife of the late Jim
Smuck (2002). Dear sister of Isabelle Spils-
bury, Betty Hanna, Violet Elliott and Donna
Gauntlett. Sister in law to Norma Flemming,
Patricia Robertson (Dan), Joan Shultz
(Glenn) and Allen Smuck (Betty). She will
be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by siblings Marion Cook, Shir-
ley Hunter, Raeleen Campbell and Loraine
Hamilton. And in laws Margaret McLaughlin
and Jean Shoebottom. Frances was a long
time member of the Daughters of the Nile.

EDEN, Charles Anthony "Tony" - Of
Lucknow, died unexpectedly at home on
November 19, 2015 at the age of 74. He
was the beloved husband of Jewel (Reid -
Stanley) for more than 20 years. Tony was
born in Bourkes, Ontario on April 3, 1941 to
the late Sophia (Cudmore) and William R.
Eden. Dear father of Charles & Sherri of
Bellville, Robert & Linda, Ric all of Pine
River, Leslie of Guelph, and Lisa of London.
Missed by his step -children Jeff & Lori
Stanley of Waterloo, and Brad & Tammy
Stanley of Oilsprings, and by many
grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survived by his brothers Bill (Millie), Garnett
(Cheryl), and Tom (Kate) and several
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
stepson Shawn Stanley, and siblings Fred,
Jim, Pauline, Colleen, and Jack. Visitation
was held at MACKENZIE & MCCREATH
FUNERAL HOME, Lucknow on November
22, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 PM,
and 1 hour prior to the funeral service which
was conducted at Huron Chapel
Evangelical Missionary Church, Auburn on
November 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Rev. Mark
Royal! officiated. Interment at Ripley
Cemetery. Donations to the Huron Chapel
Evangelical Missionary Church were

FARRISH, Donald - Of Lucknow, on
Sunday in Wingham at the age of 82. Loved
husband of the late Dorothy (Watson), and
his second wife Wilma (Champion). Dear
father of Donald & Patricia of Pt. Clark,
David & Debbie of Kitchener, Darlene &
Peter Shelton of Kincardine, Dale & Betty of
Lucknow, Diane Kennedy of Oshawa, and
Douglas and Kerry Lynne of Port Elgin.
Missed by his 15 grandchildren, and 10
great-grandchildren. Survived by sister
Winnie Walters of Goderich, brother-in-law
Jim (Pat) Watson of Guelph and many
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
grandson Travis, brothers Jack, George,
Harold and Andrew in infancy, and brother-
in-law Gord Walters. Visitation was held on
