It was a jovial atmos-
phere at the Lucknow
Presbyterian Church dur-
ing their November 14,
2015 Taste of Christmas
luncheon and bake sale.
Pat Livingston com-
mented that the crowd
was steady and the organ-
izers are happy with the
turnout. "We are glad of
the support of the com-
munity. We even had a
couple of ladies from
Kincardine."
The organizers thank all of
the people who gave their
support to this fundraiser by
baking, making soups and
volunteering at the event as
that is an integral part of the
success of the venue.
Livingston explained,
"We are now a small con-
gregation. Unfortunately a
lot of the helpers have aged
and the number of workers
has decreased." She added,
"It takes a joint effort by a
lot of people to pull it off."
If the smiles, chatter and
laughter of both workers
and those who attended
were any indication, Taste
of Christmas 2015 was most
certainly a success.

Huron County Ontario Pro-
vincial Police (OPP) has
charged a 35 -year-old driver
from Bruce County with a
number of Criminal Code
offences after police received a
call for assistance on Novem-
ber 10, 2015. At approximately
6:15 a.m. Huron OPP officers
received information about a

tion of Elgin Avenue West and
Wellesley Street.
An OPP officer arrived on
scene to find the male driver sit-
ting
itting in the driver's seat of a 2016
Dodge Ram pickup truck The
uncooperative driver failed to
provide a driver's licence and
initially refused to exit the truck
Eventually the driver exited his
vehicle and while speaking with
the driver, the officer observed
several signs the driver was
impaired by a drug. The driver
was arrested for Care & Control
of a Motor Vehicle While
Impaired and Drive While Dis-

arrest was completed which
resulted in police seizing a
small quantity of methamphet-
amine and marihuana.
The driver was then given a
demand to submit to a Drug
Recognition Evaluation (DRE).
The driver was transported to
the Huron OPP Detachment for
this test. Ultimately the driver
refused to complete the evalua-
tion tests and during this pro-
cess the driver physically
assaulted an assisting officer.
Further investigation also
revealed the Dodge Ram
pickup truck had been stolen a
few days earlier from a car
rental agency in Hanover.
As a result, Jason EYLES, 35
years of age from the Munici-
pality of Brockton has been

an elderly couple that was on
scene acting as Good Samari-
tans. They had a fuel can with
them and were getting ready to
help the driver prior to police
arrival. Any witnesses to this
event are asked to call the
