County of Bruce wins again
The County of Bruce has been awarded the
Tourism Marketing Campaign Award under
$25,000 at the 2015 Ontario Tourism Summit
Awards of Excellence held in Toronto Novem-
ber 10 for the Bruce County Adventure Pass-
port program. The Tourism Marketing & Travel
Media Awards of Excellence celebrates those
who contribute to Ontario's tourism industry
through impactful partnerships, marketing
activities and media relations. The Awards of
Excellence are presented to organizations,
businesses, and individuals that represent
quality of outstanding offerings that make
Ontario a world-class destination.
The County won for the Explore the Bruce
Adventure Passport. The Adventure Passport
program is an `Amazing Race' style contest.
Adventure Passport participants must visit a
minimum of 7 of the 12 locations, punch
their Adventure Passport using a unique hole
punch and submit it for entry to be eligible to
win packages and getaways sponsored by
local tourism partners.
Warden, Mitch Twolan and Vicki Ly
accepted the award at the November 10 Gala
Dinner. Warden Twolan stated "I am very
proud of our team at Bruce County and the
Passport Program. 2014 was the 10th Anni-
versary for the program. The success of the
Adventure Passport is the result of staff work-
ing very closely with local operators and
each year together they establish a creative,
fun and exciting program."
CAO Kelley Coulter commented, "I am
thrilled that the Ontario Tourism group rec-
ognized the talent of the staff at Bruce
County. Vicki Ly and the team maintain an
incredible program with the Adventure Pass-
port. The Explore the Bruce program have
had a tremendous impact on our local
communities."

The Lucknow Legends
had a dominating weekend
at home with two big wins.
On Saturday night the
Legends hosted last year's
league champs, Stratford.
The girls came out on top
with a 6-1 victory. After a
scoreless first period Ashlin
Mann started off the scoring
with a pass from Diane
Bushell. Justine Hart would
follow that with a top shellf
goal from Julie Hamilton
and Marissa Jolley. Missy
Kuik popped one in with a
play from Katie Feagan and
Kelsie Murley. Jolley
wrapped up the second
period with a goal from
Robin McDonagh. Gina
Murray scoored a unassited
goal and Hamilton wrapped
up the game with a goal
from Jolley.
On Sunday the Legends
hosted Strathroy and won
8-1. Marlee Alton, Bushell
and Kuik all scored in the
first with assists going to
Bushell, Kuik, Caitlin Hamil-
ton and Margaret Vincent.
Kuik and Julie Hamilton(2)
would rack up some goals in
the second with the help of
Vincent and Jolley. Hamil-
ton and Murray finished off
the game with two goals in
the third from Kuik and Jus-
tine Hart.
Riley Aitchison and Terri
Allen both played great in
net!
