The Lucknow and District
Kinsmen have donated $2000
in support of the Dave Moun-
sey Memorial Fund
(DMMF) Run Around the
Square.
The Dave Mounsey
Memorial Fund is dedicated
to the donation of life-saving
defibrillators to public build-
ings in the name of fallen
Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS
and military members who
have died in the line of duty.
Since 2013, the Lucknow and
District Kinsmen have
donated $3000 in support of
the DMMF.
The sixth annual DMMF
Run Around the Square was
held on Sunday, May 10 in
Goderich.

Women With A Mission
had Bible mothers as a
theme for the May meeting.
Roberta Whytock and Laura
Lee Cayley shared stories of
Naomi from the Old Testa-
ment and Salome from the
New Testament. A reading
about mothering in Bible
times, verses from Proverbs
31 and the promise of God's
faithfulness in the scriptures
were also read. Everyone
sang "The Servant Song': A
discussion followed on the
two mothers and the pro-
gram closed with prayer.
Karen Allen opened the
business with a reading,
"The Wonderful Mother".
The minutes were read by
Mary Lou Irwin and Nancy
Gibson gave the treasurer's
report. Roll Call was
answered with a verse con-
taining the word "love': The
Fellowship of the Least Coin
also had a reading on
Mothers.
Nimble Fingers has new
cupboards in the pie room.
They will meet on May 20 to
work on quilts.
Social Functions will
cater for the Bowling Ban-
quet and for a group in
July. Silver Lake worship
and lunch will be on June 7
with the Sunday school
leading.
The June meeting will be
at the Thompson cottage.
The meeting closed with the
UCW prayer and all enjoyed
a social time with
refreshments.
Law enforcement torch
run for Special Olympics
South Bruce
OPP
The South Bruce Ontario
Provincial Police (OPP) is
pleased to announce they
are joining police officers
from across North America
supporting Special Olympi-
ans with the Law
Enforcement Torch Run.
On Wednesday May 20th,
2015 there will be 2 Law
Enforcement Torch Run
events in Southern Bruce
County.
At 10:00 a.m., the Torch
Run will start at the Quinn
Plaza and run to Victoria
Park in Kincardine.
At 11:00 a.m., the Torch
Run athletes will be running
laps around the track at the
Walkerton District Commu-
nity School located on
Yonge Street South in
Walkerton.
Supporters are encour-
aged to attend the
planned route and cheer
on the runners as they
pass by.
