March 11, 2015 with
another 7-2 loss in Nor-

effort they could not get
through to scoring enough
to keep up.
Both Goals for Lucknow
were scored by Cameron
Pickard, the first assisted by
Tyler Jones and Clay Smits.
The second was assisted by
Zane Livingston and Tyler
Jones.
We would have loved to
bring this series back to
Lucknow but it just wasn't
meant to be.
Congratulations to the
whole team for making it
that far in the OMHA. We
are all very proud of you!
Thank you very much for
all the support from the
Community and help at our
Game 1 in Lucknow: Sadie
Scott for singing "Oh Can-
ada" with a beautiful voice,
Jessica Snowden for creat-
ing our flyers, all the par-
ents and everyone else
involved.
We would also like to say
a big thank you to the Por-
ter Family who donated our
Bus Trip to Norwich for
Game 3 in Marianne Por-
ters Memory. This was very
much appreciated.
Thanks also to Brian
Boyne of Montgomery Bus
Lines for driving us there
and home safely.
Last but not least, thank
you to our coaches Evan
Rivett and Brett Phillips.
We have had great turn
outs to practices, the boys
learned a lot from you guys
this season and it is your
time and effort that has
helped this team go that
far.
Thank you!

Lancers win game 1 of Semi -Finals
The Lucknow Lancers
hosted the Shallow Lake
Crushers on the afternoon of
Sunday, March 8, it was
game one of the best of
seven series. The game was
very chippy as the teams
wasted no time introducing
themselves.
The first period saw the
Lancers kill off 4 power
plays. Thanks to excellent
goaltending by Blake Smith
the score remained 0 - 0 head-
ing into the second period.
This period the team
found another gear and the
tempo picked up. Rick
Andrew got the boys on the
score board as he went top
cheddar over the goalies
glove hand thanks to some
great work by Evan Ducha-
rme, to make it 1 - 0 Lanc-
ers. Just over 5 minutes
later Jamie Miller added to
the lead as he blasted a
screen shot that found the
back of the net. Andrew and
Brett Binning earned the
assists. The Lancers kept
the momentum going as
Tanner Simpson went in on
a short-handed breakaway
and made a nice move to
his back hand to give the
team a 3 - 0 lead. The Lanc-
ers got themselves into
some penalty trouble and
the Crushers responded
with a power play goal to
make the score 3 - 1. It was
Jamie Miller who
responded to give the Lanc-
ers a 4 - 1 lead. Joel Alton
and Matt McClinchey

earned the assists. Shallow
Lake would add one more
before the end of the sec-
ond period to cut the lead
to 4 - 2 going into the final
period.
Blake Smith shut the door
in the third as he played
exceptional. Even with the
Lancers down on a two man
disadvantage late in the
game, the team would not let
the Crushers get to within
one goal. The defence of
