Carter's Crokinole Report
Peter Carter
Eighteen players met at Laney's to
showoff their shooting skills in afamily
atmosphere. Carlos Diaz and his
daughters Maria and Ana travelled
from Waterloo to play crokinole for the
very first time. Not only did we give
them a warm welcome while explain-
ing the rules, we were impressed with
their enthusiasm. Jim Rich from For-
mosa enjoyed his first appearance and
it brought back many great memories
for him and really that is why we get
together.
After the friendly fire took place the
results were tallied with these
results. Robert Bonnett took first
place for the men with 65, Ken
Hawkins second with 64, Peter Carter

on March 4th The afternoon closed by
wishing Al and Sharmane ahappy 41st
wedding anniversary.
With an inquiry coming from St.
Helens last week and four young men
getting together on weekends to play
in Walkerton we know our local news-
papers are helping spread the word
about this game. Just what
would we do without our local news
each week?
Everyone was reminded our next
crokinole is Sat. March 7th at 1:30
p.m. Please call Peter at 392-8115 to
ensure board space.
