MacKINNON, John Livingston -
beloved son of the late Dan & Belle
MacKinnon, of Lucknow, passed away at
Pinecrest Manor, Lucknow, on Friday June
5, 2015 at age 94. He was born in Kinloss
Township on May 10, 1921. Loving
companion of Mildred McClenaghan of
Whitechurch. Also greatly missed by
several nieces and nephews. Predeceased
by sisters Grace Elliott and Jean
MacKenzie and brother Fraser MacKinnon.
A Funeral was held at MACKENZIE &
MCCREATH FUNERAL HOME, Lucknow
on Tuesday June 9, 2015 at 2 PM with
visitation one hour prior. Rev. David Chung
officiated. Pallbearers were David, Jim,
Murray, Jack and Jonathan MacKinnon and
Bill MacKenzie. Interment South Kinloss
Cemetery. Donations to the South Kinloss
Presbyterian Church were greatly
appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

BROOKS, Gordon - beloved husband
and best friend of Shirley (Culbert) Brooks
for almost 68 years, passed away at
Wingham & District Hospital on Friday June
5, 2015 in his 92nd year. He was born in
Huron Township on September 13, 1923 to
the late Ruth (Barkwell) and George
Brooks. He will be greatly missed by his
children Ruth Savage of Kincardine, Donnie
(Lynn) Brooks of Lucknow and Kathy (Jim)
Dickson of Kincardine. Lovingly
remembered by 13 grandchildren; Travis
(Melissa) Remington, Cailyn (Chris) Norris,
Meagan (Nick) Chammoun, Brad (Julie)
Savage, Blair Savage, Alexa (Jeremy)
McQuillin, Tyler (Sarah) Brooks, Dani
(Luke) Lindsay, Brendan, Ashley and Mitch
Dickson, Josh (Melissa) Johnston, Lindsay
(Jason) Needham, and 10 great
grandchildren; Brooke, Dylan and Jared
Savage and Briea Savage, Ty, Cal, and
Emmitt McQuillin, Gus Lindsay, Brooklyn
Benninger and Brielle Needham.
Predeceased by daughter Janice
Remington, brothers Omar and Harvey and
sister Alice. Gordon was the last surviving
charter member of the Lucknow Lions Club
and a long standing Mason (Old Light
Lodge). He was owner/operator of Brooks
Transport for a number of years and
continued his love of driving trucks into his
70's. Gord was also a long time farmer.
Visitation was held at MacKENZIE &
McCREATH FUNERAL HOME, Lucknow
on Sunday June 7, 2015. A Funeral Service
was conducted from the Lucknow United
Church on Monday June 8, 2015 with Rev.
Jeff Hawkins officiating. Gord's
grandchildren acted as pallbearers and
flower bearers. Honourary pallbearers were
Jim Wilson, Herb Clark, Don McNeil,
Donald MacTavish and Ray Buchmeier.
Interment Greenhill Cemetery. Gord will be
greatly missed by his family and friends.
