Lucknow Scribblers recently celebrated their 1st anniversary. This past year has seen many writing successes for members. The Lucknow Scribblers welcome new members. The group meets Tuesdays 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Lucknow Library. PECK Bob Peck and family thank the Lucknow Fire Department, the EMS crew and his coffee buddy, Pat Weptler for their quick response and help. Special thanks to the Stoke Teams in Goderich (Dr. T., Dr. Gill, Stephanie, Jessica, Brandon and Keith) and Stratford (Dr. Gillett, Anita, Lyndsey, Allister, Katlin and Erica) for their wonderful care. Brook, of Ripley, passed away at Pinecrest Manor, Lucknow, on Sunday January 11, 2015 in her 89th year. She was born in Huron Township to the late Margaret (MacLay) and Donald A. MacDonald. Survived by son Carson (Suzanne) Brook of Alberta, daughter Barbara (Allan) Brown of Timmins, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Also greatly missed by sister Jean Coiling of Kincardine and sisters-in-law Sheila and Audrey MacDonald both of Ripley. Predeceased by grandson Derek, brothers John S., Colin, Stewart, Donald A. (Dan) and Rod MacDonald and sisters Helen McCreath, Evelyn MacKenzie and Donalda and AnnaBelle MacDonald. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Isobel's life will be held at the St. Andrew's United Church, Ripley on Saturday June 13, 2015 at 11 AM. Interment in Ripley Cemetery. Donations to the St. Andrew's United Church or Kincardine Hospital Foundation are greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Beloved brother of Richard (Eleanor) Murdie of Point Clark and Mary (Joe) Sinclair of Callander. He will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews Kenneth Sinclair of Callander and Timothy & Pamela (their daughter Georgia) Sinclair of Halifax, Nova Scotia and several cousins. Predeceased by his parents Pearle (Nixon) and Kenneth Murdie. Friends and family are invited to gather at the Ripley Legion on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 2-4 PM where they would like you to share stories and memories with them at 2:30 PM.
