members of St. Peter's Anglican Church in
Lucknow at the Deconsecration Service by
calling them to the front of the sanctuary

as they leave their place of worship for the last
time. January 17, 2015.

The Rt. Reverand Robert F. Ben-
net delivered the sermon at the
Deconsecration Service at St.
Peter's Anglican Church in Luc -
know on Saturday, January 17,
2015. The message was based on
the life cycle and nature's cycle.
Bennet stated, "Life is never stag-
nant, it moves on. Things cannot
stay the same. Some things have to
cease to be to make room for some-
thing else." To hold onto something
too long can inhibit the better
future from beginning. This was his
message to the members of this
congregation of the Parish of New
Beginnings.
The sanctuary was filled with
those who offered their support to
the congregation during this transi-
tion time and those who needed to
say their own goodbyes to a building
that holds so many memories. There
were lots of hugs, lots of well wishes
and, of course, many tears.
At the time of the Deconsecra-
tion, the church team members
were recognized as follows: Minis-
ter Pastor Perry Chuipka, Treas-
urer Kim Phillips, Temporary
Organist Marilyn Scott, Rector's
Warden Karen Gaunt, People's
Warden Ruth Dobrensky, Sunday
School Director Irene Haldenby,
Assistant Sunday School Director
Marie Scott.
