The Team played game
one of the Minto Tourna-
ment in Palmerston against
Seaforth at 10:30am on Sat-
urday, January 11, 2015.
They were loosing 2-1 after
one period. The goal was
scored by Cameron P. and
assisted by Zane L. The boys
came out to tie the game up
in the second period and
held the score at 2-2 right to
the end of the game! The
goal in the second period
was unassisted by Clay S.
Ready to face off for the
5min overtime and 3 on 3
the game was ended quickly
with a goal by Seaforth at 16
seconds. A yummy spaghetti
lunch was enjoyed by every-
one and some fun time was
had by all.
The second game was
scheduled for 3:30 pm and
we were to face Drayton, a
great team to play against
and we were all excited to
see what our team could
come up with. They came
out strong and played an
awesome game showing us
that they are a team! They
got a head start with an
unassisted goal by Clay S. in
the first period. Drayton
then scored 2 seconds before
the period ended to send us
into the break at a 1-1 tie.
The Team came back strong
in the second period and
Lucas A. scored a goal
assisted by Korey S. and
Zane L. to start the period off
with a 2-1 lead. Darian P. had
an awesome chance and
went on to score the next
goal assisted by Jordan G.
and Clay S. The boys were on
their game and finished the
period with a 4-1 lead scored
by Jordan G. assisted by Dar-
ian P. and Clay S. Game 2
was won and this got the
team on to the B Final.
With 4 of our AP Players
leaving to play with the
Development Team our Rep
Players had to put all their
energy and strength back
together to face Arthur with
8 players and our awesome
Goalie Shane W. Arthur is a
great team to play as they
finished their regular season
with 30 points in first place
in our group.
The team came out and
showed their best. They kept
calm passing the puck
around and got a lead in the

Lucknow Legends
Marlee Alton
With the Legends in first
place in the Women's Sen-
ior B league, this game was
important to come out on
top to hold their spot come
playoffs.
The game started off
quick and in full force. Strat-
ford took the first lead of the
game half way through the
first but the Lucknow girls
battled back to tie it up with
two minutes left - Caitlin
Hamilton giving the pass to
her line mate Julie Hamil-
ton, where she would then
drop it back to Robin
McDonagh on point who
was able to put it in the back
of the net with a slap shot
from the right side.
The second period was a
little shaky with the Legends
having to kill off a few pen-
alties, and again got behind
a goal half way through the
period. But then Julie Ham-
ilton put one in from the top
of the slot with assists from
Marlee Alton and Caitlin
Hamilton from behind the
net with four minutes left in
the second.
The third period would
remain scoreless making
the final score a tie at 2-2.
The player of the game
being their goaltender,
Riley Aitchison with a
handful of spectacular
saves throughout the game
but mostly in the third
holding the tie and giving
the girls 1 point for the
weekend.
first period with an unas-
sisted goal by Clay S. Period
two got them ahead again
with another goal scored by
Clay S. and assisted by Dar-
ian P. to get them a 2-0 lead.
The boys did get tired but
held up as they did get two
goals scored on by Arthur in
the third period. But they
kept going, never gave up,
dealing with everything out
on the ice! A couple time
outs taken by both teams in
the last few minutes gave
them a few breathers and the
game was ended with a 2-2
tie! Again the boys went into
a 3 on 3 overtime of 5 min-
utes. The coaches told them
well how to manage that sit-
uation already in game one.
Clay S., Zane L. and Jordan
G. went out to face off with
Arthur. The puck dropped,
went towards our end very
fast and was picked up by
Clay S. All three of our boys
took off together alongside
Clay S. as they went down
the ice leaving Arthur
behind and Clay S. scored
the winning goal 16 seconds
into the overtime! Congrats
to Clay S. for the Hat trick
and awesome skating by Jor-
dan G. and Zane L. to finish
this game!
This win was well deserved
