Year's Baby at Walkerton

Editor, Hanover Post
The beginning of 2015
will go down as one of the
most memorable ever for
the Wiens family.
Lisa Wiens gave birth to a
healthy baby boy Thursday
evening in Walkerton, the
first baby born at that site
of the South Bruce Grey
Health Centre in 2015.
Lucas is the second son
for Lucknow's Lisa and
Blue Wiens. He was born at
9:20 p.m.
"Everything is great," Lisa
said in the aftermath of
their newest family mem-
ber's arrival.
Lucas was set to arrive in
2014, with a Dec. 27 due
date, but decided to hold
off a couple of days and let
his older brother Marcus
finish off the year as an only
child.
And how does Marcus
feel about being an older
brother?
"He's pumped," said his
father.

January is the most popu-
lar month for smokers to try
and kick the habit. If your
new year's resolution is to
quit smoking, the Huron
County Health Unit can
help. The Health Unit is
offering STOP (Smoking
Treatment for Ontario
Patients) workshops
throughout January to help
you reach your goal.
"If you're ready for a
change and looking to make
2015 the year you become
smoke free, STOP workshops
are a great opportunity to
take that first step," says Pub-
lic Health Nurse Julie Verch.
"The workshop shows you
how to make your own per-
sonal quit plan and gives you
tips on how to cope with
cravings. It also provides
information on nicotine
replacement therapy and
how to properly use it."
Eligible participants can
also receive five weeks of
free nicotine patches as part
of the workshop.
Workshops take place in
Clinton on January 13 and
January 22 at 6:30 pm.
Pre -registration is
required so please register
