Clear off some of those pesky fines by bringing a non-perishable food item to the library during the annual "Food for Fines" campaign Dec. 14-20. One item is the equivalent of $2 in fines. Fines can be cleared to a maximum of $10. The Library will also accept food donations from those who simply wish to contrib- ute to the local food bank. Last year, Bruce County Public Library cleared over $300 in fines with this program and our staff delivered the items to area food banks just in time for the holidays. Food for Fines supports the Library's goal to ease barriers that may be limiting our residents from using Library resources and ser- vices, while contributing to an important need in our communities. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at any Bruce County Public Library branch during open hours. Please check our website at www.library.brucecounty.on.ca or call your local library branch for further details.
