The bulk of the roof from the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home Garage and Storage landed
on the neighbouring house to the north, 530 Inglis Street, owned by Nathan McMurray. It broke a
window in the garage, broke through the wall just beside the window and pierced a hole in the roof
of the garage. No injuries

The same team also con-
cluded Thursday that an
EF -2 tornado, with winds of
180 to 220 km/h touched
down in the area of Leba-
non, Ont., just east of Lis-
towel. It is the third tornado
confirmed by Environment
Canada from Sunday's
storm. A tornado with winds
up to 220 kilometres per
hour blew through Teviot-
dale, Wellington North,
Mapleton and Minto, leaving
a trail of damage roughly
seven kilometres long and
200 metres wide. An EF -1
tornado was confirmed to
have touched down in Mars-
ville, about 60 kilometres
northwest of Brampton.
Kimbell said the damage
in Lucknow and the torna-
does in Lebanon, Teviotdale
and Marsville were all from
the same system that made
its way through southern
Ontario late Sunday
afternoon.
He said heavy damage
reported between the 8th
and 10th concession south
of Kincardine was likely also
from the same system.
"Almost certainly there
would have been damage in
other locations along the Lake-
shore and elsewhere, most
likely caused by a downburst
in most cases," Kimbell said.
Kate MacDougall, who has
a cottage on Lake Huron
south of Kincardine, said at
least 10 mature trees were
dropped on her property,
while a large tree fell on her
neighbour's cottage. There
were also cars damaged by
falling trees in the area.
"It was a mess really,"
MacDougall said. "It really
seems to have ripped a path
through here."
McDougall said her family
has had a cottage in the area
since the 1970s and they
have always enjoyed watch-
ing storms as they approach
over the lake, but Sunday's
storm was different.
MacDougall said the lake
went still and then all of a
sudden everything went
white when the storm hit.
"It is always fun to watch
them come across and you
always assume you are safe,"
said MacDougall. "This one
as it got closer you could tell
there was something differ-
ent about it. It was very
frightening."
MacDougall said immedi-
ately after the storm there
was a seiche, where the lake
water retreated 50 to 100 feet
and all the rocks that are
normally under the water
were visible, before the water
came back in quickly. She

Lary Lindsay reports the fence protected her car from the trees
falling so almost no damage to it on Lucknow's Walter St.
said the water then seemed
to "slosh" around in the lake
every couple of minutes.
"Every time you looked at
the lake it would be different.
it would either be high or
really low," MacDougall said.
"I just find that fascinating."
