Lucknow Legion Branch 309 hosted a visit from the Canadian Heroes Kite on March 28, 2015. People were invited to come and sign the kite tail and banner. The
300 square foot full form kite was appliqued together using rip -stop nylon, which is the same material used in quality raincoats and in sails. Veterans and their
family members are invited to sign veteran names on the 100 foot long tail. Those who have lost loved ones who died on the job as First Responders are invited
to add the names on the 50 foot line banner dedicated to them. Pictured here are WWII veteran Gerald Wagner of Lucknow signing the tail while kite maker Lucy
