The 2015 Big Brothers Big
Sisters (BBBS) of North
Huron Bowl for Kids Sake
took place Friday, March 27
in Goderich and Saturday,
March 28 in Lucknow. This
is one of the two major fun-
draising events for BBBS of
North Huron each year,
with the other being their
annual golf tournament.
The total amount raised
with the Bowl for Kids Sake
was $15,000 with $6,000
being raised in Goderich
and $9,000 raised in Luc -
know. All funds raised will
be used from the events are
used solely for BBBS of
North Huron programs and
services in North Huron.
Dave Shaw, a representa-
tive for BBBS of North
Huron stated at the end of
the Lucknow Event that it
had been very successful.
Eleven teams participated
at Lucknow Town Bowl,
with all teams being from
Wingham and Lucknow. In
addition to the bowling
participants, many organi-
zations and companies
help out.
Elaine Osborne, Execu-
tive Director of BBBS of
North Huron provided the
results of the prize alloca-
tions from both the Goder-
ich and Lucknow Bowl for
Kids Sake events. She
would like to thank the
Corporate Sponsor for the
event, Compass Minerals in
Goderich.

the owners and staff of Luc -

such good care of all partic-
ipants and their

GODERICH, ON - Mem-
ber of Parliament Ben Lobb
and Clinton Minor Baseball
are pleased to announce
the 3rd Annual Clinton
Minor Baseball Camp, an
exciting two days of youth
focused baseball
instruction.
This year former Toronto
Blue Jay and 2 -times
Golden Glove Winner Jesse
Barfield will be headlining
the instructors for the 2 day
baseball camp. Barfield
played nine of his twelve
Major League Baseball sea-
sons with the Toronto Blue
Jays. He led the American
League in home runs in
1986 and played in the 1986
all-star game. Barfield hit
241 career home runs and
had one of the best outfield
arms in baseball history.
Also joining Barfield is
NCAA Head Baseball Coach
Mark Brew. Brew is in his
9th season as head coach of
the Lee University Flames.
He directed his first seven
Lee teams to the NAIA Col-
lege World Series before
leading the transition to
NCAA Division II and the
Gulf South Conference last
season. He has been named
conference Coach of the
Year twice (2008 and 2010)
and has been named
Region Coach of the Year
six times (2008-2013). In
2008 he was named
National Coach of the Year.
"We look forward to
working with Jesse Barfield
and Mark Brew. This is an
exciting event for grass-
roots baseball in Huron
County. Last year kids from
six different counties
attended the camp," said
MP Lobb. "I can't thank the
Municipality of Central
Huron and the local busi-
ness community enough;
they continue to support
this event to make it afford-
able for everyone."
This year's camp will run
July 13th & 14th at the Clin-
ton Community Ball Park.
It is open to boys and girls,
ages 8-18. Individuals can
