WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS
TO ME
Jesus Christ was born on this day,
this day of December the 25th.
The three wise men came to bring
him gifts and to show they're hap-
piness. His parents thanks d them
and sent than on they're v (iv with
lots of cheer. '
This is where the word Christmas
comes from Jesus Christ. Christmas
is sharing cheer with family and
friends.
Thinking of that special day of
December the 25th when Jesus
Christ was born in Bethleham in a
manger with family and friends.
This is what Christmas means to
me! - By Mae Overholt, Grade 8,
Seaforth Public School
THE TRUE MEANING OF
CHRISTMAS
Once upon a time there was a
man named Joseph and a lady
named Mary. They had been mar-
ried about seven years. They
wanted to have a baby but Mary
couldn't. Then an angel came and
asked Joseph if he would have a
baby for Christ He said yes. But
you will have to ask my wife. So a
few days later the angel appeared to
Mary. The angel asked Mary if she
would have a baby for Christ and
would name him Jesus. Mary said
yes. Nine months later Mary and
Joseph went to pay their taxes. In
Bethlehem that night Mary had
labour pains so they went to an inn,
he said no room! They went to
another inn she said no! Then they
went to another inn he said no but
you can use my stable. There is
animals in the stable. She had Jesus
that night. Jesus grew up and
started preaching.
P.S. Thanks Inn keeper. That is the
true meaning of Christmas - J.D.
Nolan, St. Patrick's School, Dublin.
ON CHRISTMAS
On Christmas Eve, my family
gets ready for Christmas. My
family and I live in McKillop, near
Seaforth. We enjoy getting ready
for Christmas. We go to Grandma's
house for Christmas. We see all of
our relatives. We give presents to
each other and we enjoy each gift.
We have a very good meal. We
have chicken, mashed potatoes and
mixed vegetables. For dessert we
have cream puffs, squares and
Christmas pudding. It is very good.
There is about 15 grandchildren on
Grandmas side.
We celebrate Christmas for my
mom's side, before Christmas. They
come to our house for a Christmas
party. We have chicken, potatoes
and mixed vegetables. For dessert
we hav squares and pies. The
problem is that, the 4 of us have to
help with dishes, clean-up and
preparing the food. We enjoy the
gifts from each other too.
On Christmas Eve, we go to
church. We celebrate Christmas at
our house before we go to
Grandma's
We are very busy on Christmas. It
is busy for is because we -live on a
farm. We have to do chores before
we go anywhere. That doesn't make
things any easier for us.
So, if you think you are busy on
Christmas Eve or Christmas, you
aren't the only one. Have a merry
Christmas - by Jane Resnick, Grade
8, Seaforth Public School.
CHRISTMAS
Bells are ringing,
People are singing.
All over town.
Carols are being sung,
Decorations are hung,
All over town.
Lights are shining
People are finding
The jolly man in red.
