He didn't like what he saw. There was a great big snow storm. "Oh, no!," he yelled. Then sadly he said, "We won't be going out tonight." Then Santa looked at his list again and he couldn't even see it. Then Santa saw a big red light. "Who brought that red lantern?" asked Santa. "It's just my nose," Rudolph answered. "Your nose?," Santa asked in a puzzled voice. Then he said, "Rudolph, you will guide my sleigh tonight. Do you want to?" "Sure," yelled Rudolph in excitement. "Well, come on. We must hurry," Santa said. The other reindeer hitched on his harness and off they went. But when they had only gotten to New York, Rudolph's nose went out. They crashed right through a house said boy jumped on. The boy got into a wrapped box. When Santa got back he looked SNOWY NIGHT One snowy night in Santa's house. I'm waiting for Santa Clause. My mom came in and asked "Whats the matter?" I could not say a word. She left my room. All at once I heard a BOOM! I knew it must be Santa. I quietly snuck out of my bedroom and walked into the living room. There he was in bright red and white with a sack full of toys. How much talent he must have to make such wonderful toys. Now I'm jolly just like him, as happy as can be. Now 1 going to bed, see you early in the morning. Good night. - by Michelle Hender- son, Grade 5, St. James. into his sack and saw the boy. "Oh no," he said. He opened the box and out jumped the kid. "Oh no," Santa said. "Now I must take you back." "Okay," said the boys, "But can 1 make a toy first?" "Of course," said Santa. The boy stayed for three weeks making the toy. Finally he finished it. He made the Ninga Turtles Sewer Playset. "Well, I guess it is time for you to go home now. Rudolph is taking us," said Santa. When they got to the boy's window, they said good- bye and Santa started going back to the North Pole. The boy went into his house to see his mom and dad. When they saw him they said, Joey, you're back!". Joey said, "Mom and Dad, guess what? I was at the North Pole and I made a toy. And I met San- ta..." They stopped him there. "Oh quit telling fairy tales and come in and see your new baby brother." The End. - Luke Wright, Grade 3, St. James School. SORE SANTA CLAUSE One snowy night the kids were sleeping when a big noise woke them up. It sounded like screaming. Tom went downstairs and saw a big bag laying on the floor. He heard footsteps so he hid around the corner, He peaked around the corner and saw Santa Clause. He jumped out and acted like he was tired and said "What is all the comotion"? Santa ran dropped off the rest of the presents and hurried up the chimney. When Santa Clause had his back facing toward Tom, Tom saw a big hole in Santa's clothes. It was all black around the big hole. Torn was thinking and thought Santa Clause burned his butt on the hot ashes. He went and looked at the presents and I said Dear Tom from Santa Clause. For a long time there was no snow and I was worried that Santa wouldn't be able to land his sleigh and it had been so mushy that not even a monster truck could get through! Soon there was a snow storm and drifts were all over the place. I had to get sick the day we were going to up our Christmas tree. Mom gave me a tylenol and I felt better and help put ornaments on the Christmas tree. Now it's almost Christmas and I can't wait. merry Christmas and a Happy new Year everyone. P.S. RUDOLF'S NOSE RECHARGED It was in the middle of winter. It was Christmas eve. Rudolf walked in. "It's storming and I lost my recharger for my nose!", Rudolf cried. "Quick! Everyone look for Rudolf's nose recharger. We'll have to cancel Christmas if we don't find it!," Santa yelled. One of the elves said he could make a recharger for Rudolf's nose in a couple of minutes. Then another elf said, "Wait, I've found it." "Yeah!" Everyone yelled. "Oh, Santa you have to decide who is going on the trip with you." "Well, 1 think the elf who found Rudolfs recharger for his nose and the elf who could have made one for him that spoke up. That's who is coming with me." And that's how Rudolf found his nose recharger and saved Christmas. - Kristie Moran, Grade 5, St. James School.
