Death of M 's. Hughes.
A former well•kn-wn and highly re-
spected resident of Wingham died in
Grand Rapids, Mic , on Saturday last
in the person of Eli abeth Hughes, re-
lict of the late Geo.ughes. After the
death of her hnstsnd, deceased left
Wingham for Grano Rapids, where she
resided with her son Mr. Fred Hughes.
Mrs. Hughes was fo many years a mem-
ber of the Methodisi= church here and
had a large circle of friends. The body
was brought to Wirsgham and the funer-
al

Gorrie, on F iday, Feb. 9th. President
Jno. R. Mills occupying the chair. Mr.
Miller spoks briefly of the past year's
business stateg that $4000 was added to
surplus. No $17,000 with six million
