It's a time for rejoicing the Lord's birth. It's a time for receiving but most of all it's a time for giving! Christmas is a time for celebrating with your family and friends. Christmas is a time to be wishful for Santa's arrival with toys! But most of all Christmas is a time to spread your love to others! -Jane Powell, Grade 6, Seaforth Public School. CHRISTMAS DAY On Christmas we get some presents. And we also think away. We think about Jesus birthday. And when we think about it. We dance and we pray. - By Adam Leonhardt, Grade 4, Seaforth Public School. TO COLD FOR SANTA All through the house not a creature was sleeping not even a mouse. All of a sudden there was a knock at the door. It was Saint Santa Claus. The Father got up and said to go away. I have to come in. It's too chilly out here. The child got up and opened the door and said come on in Santa. Santa came in and sat right down and ate some cookies and then the sun came out. So Santa went and said Merry Christmas and gave them each a present and they went to bed. - By Carali McCall, Grade 4, Seaforth Public School. THE REAL CHRISTMAS MEANING You should really think about Christmas really. It doesn't just mean getting presents, it means "Christ is coming". It's the gift of love that counts. It's not what you get for Christmas, it's what you give. -Angie Szozebonski, Grade 5, St. James School. SANTA'S SICK The day before Christmas Santa was sick. One elf said I'll drive the sled. No said Mrs. Claus. But but. No buts. I'll do it said Mrs. Claus. The elve started to make presents again. It was 12:00 when Mrs. Claus set off. Then Christmas was saved. in one half and hour"! "1 don't know" said Santa. Santa was really nervous. A little bit later Santa was in his spaceship ready to blast off with all the toys far good girls and boys. Suddenly a fire broke out on the spaceship and Santa came running and bouncing out of his spaceship. The spaceship's alarm system was making so much noise and con- fesion that Santa shouted, "I'm taking my reindeer even if they are a little bit slower, because they are alot more dependable"! But when Santa went to the barn to hitch up his reindeer,...they were gone!!! The reindeer had run away. Oh no! Santa wouldn't be able to deliver his presents this year! What happened? Well Santa must have found his reindeer because you got your presents last year...didn't you? - by David Lewington, Grade 8, Seaforth Public School. SANTAS SLEIGH BROKE DOWN One day Santa was testing heis sleigh to see if it was all right. When it broke down and Santa fell flat on his face. Santa bruised his cheek. The sleigh was hard to fix because it was jet powered. To get it fixed he would have to get a space shuttle rocket. So at night he would to go to a space station. It would be hard but it was the only way to get presents to the little kids. So he would go that night. That night Santa got his old sleigh out and hooked, up the reindeer. Off he went. That night there was a lot of snow coming down. But finally he got there. It was going to be hard to get past the guard dogs. They where chained to the fence. So Santa took his sleigh across the fence and across the guard dogs. He got his space shuttle jet and was on his way. it was a nice ride home. He fixed his sleigh and Christmas was saved. - By Michael Beverman, Grade 4, Seaforth Public School. NO CHRITMAS Once a upon a time Rudolph was playing tag with Comet and Cupid. Rudolph was it. He chased comet. Rudolph was running with the doctor. Santa said to the doctor is Rudolph going be okay. Yes. But he has a broken leg. Oh no said Santa. Doctor said sadly there is not going to be Christmas this year. Oh no said cuptid. Comit said I have an ideal. We can hook up lights to the sleigh. Santa got home. I got the presents delivered. They played tag when they got home. The end. - By Kerrie McClure, Grade 4, Seaforth Public School. Ray Reynen, Betty Kroonen. DWI Templeton, Peg Campbell Brian Nuhn. Debbie Braun. That Saturday was very busy. The elves were working like crazy to get all the toys done in time. Santa was eating lots of food to get very fat. Mean -while down in the city London, a girl was sad. Her name was April. She was sad because she moved away from Seaforth and left her best friend Amanda. Amanda was sad too! Santa saw the two children in his magic T.V. Santa wanted them to meet again so he made the two a car. They could visit each other. It was Christmas night. Amanda was staying over night at April's house. They snuck out of bed but when they got down stairs they saw Santa in arnasment they both said "Hello". Then santa said Hello to all. They found a toy in there bed every morning. They were very happy even tho they were 50 miles apart. - By Amanda Brugger, Grade 4, Seaforth Public School. RUDOLPH SAVES CHRISTMAS Once long ago Santa only had eight reindeer! and one of those eight reindeer had a baby named Rudolph. One day Rudolph was sitting at home when his mother was at sleigh plulling practice. When Pran- cer and Dancer came in. They said to Rudolph "Your mother has broken a leg and she can't pull the sleigh with us." Seven reindeer can't pull the sleigh on Christmas, can you take her place?" Rudolph though it would be great to pull the sleigh so he said "I's love to." On Christmas eve Santa got ready to deliver the presents. He got out the magic dust on all the reindeer and all of a sudden Rudolph's nose turned bright red! Then it started to snow and soon there was a blizzard. But they had to deliver the present's so they left but Rudolph's nose led the way to all the houses. And all those children wouldn't get any presents if it weren't for Rudolph. After Rudolph's mother was better Rudolph still pulled the sleigh and still led the way. - By Rachael Broome, Grade 4, Seaforth Public School.
