Belles travelled t0 HOMO to meet
up with the Exeter Bilks. Dcspitc
missing six of 14 players Seaforth
played hard and came up on the
winning end 14 - 3.
The action was from end - to -
end, and Shen Kling broke in over
tic Exeta line first with a quick
pass from Becky Harrison. Khng
put Seaforth ahead at the 12:43

Four bowlers score over 300
Murray Benncwtes captured both
the high triple and single and led
the Eagles to a five point win with
a 349 - 876 in the St. James
bowling leagues. Pauline Deigel,
also of the Eagles, won the ladies
high single and triple with her 212 -
566.
Harry Den Haan of the Peacocks
led his team with a 311 - 658 fol-
lowed by Betty Johnston 258 - 575
and Rob Taylor 203 - 559.
Dave Moody also bowled a 321
single and led the Vultures with a
741 triple followed by Gary
Howard with a 236 - 567.•
A 308 single bowled by George
Love was top score for the Orioles
this week.
Jack Ryan led the Buzzards with
a 288 - 699. The Loons top scours
were Don Nolan 226 - 657, Pat
Ryan 256 - 579 and Wade Lee 225
- 567.
Team standings are: Eagles 65,
Orioles 54, Vultures 44, Loons 35,
Buzzards 35, and Peacocks 32.

All 25 members of the Bluewater
Association Blue Light contingent
now advance to the Blue Light
Ontario Open and Team Champion-
ships March 27 - 30 at Hamiltons
48 Lane Sherwood Centre.
Qualifying rounds of 20 games
were bowled on December 2 and
December 9 at Seaforth, Zurich,
Listowel and Mt. Forest. Each
bowler bowled five games in each
alley, with the top scores making up
teams to compete at the Blue Light
Ontario Open and Team Champion-
ships in Hamilton, representing the
Blue water Zone Bowling As-
sociation.
Top bowler for the men was
Norm Wilding of Mitchell with
5284 pins for 20 games. This was a
264 average. Dale Taylor - Moles-
worth was 2nd with 4870 and Paul
Edgar - Listowel was 3rd with The Mixed team consists of Gerry
4722. These 3 bowlers will compete Ross - Goderich - 4345; Tom
in the Blue Light Ontario Open Stevens - Molesworth - 4328; Ron
Singles Championships as well as
on the Men's team. An Burt -
Goderich - 4664; Dennis Schmidt -
Goderich 4525 and Doug Leonhardt
- Seaforth - 4417 complete the
Men's Team.
For the Ladies it was
Gayle Easen - Mitchell - 4492,
Leslie Sieddall - 4369 and Patricia
Palen - Zurich - 4209 to compete in
the Blue Light Ontario Open Ladies
Singles. Also competing on the
Ladies team are Bev Cregan - 4180,
Sandra Dickers - 4159, and Sherrie
Edwards - 4081, all from the Zurich
Association.
Ringette Petites defeat Blyth
The Seaforth I Ringette Petite
team travelled through snow and
sleet to Blyth last Thursday evening
and came home with a win.
Denise DeJong opened the scoring
with a goal 8:48 into the first
period. She was assisted by Cathy
Coyne. Denise DeJong then scored
again at 1:48.
Now into the second period Cathy
Coyne scored at 9:30. Erin Siemon
scoring the last goal for the
Seaforth team at 2:23, assisted by
Cathy Coyne.
The final score was 4 - 2 for
Seaforth.
On Saturday, the Seaforth girls
played the Stratford II team for the
first time.
Seaforth opened the scoring at
11:45 by Anna Mailloux. Melissa
Robertson then scored at 7:39,
assisted by Cathy Coyne. With 23
seconds left in the first period,
Denise De Jong scored Seaforth's
third goal assisted by Abby Dietz.
During the first period Stratford
tallied two goals.
With the score 3 - 2 going into
the second period the Seaforth team
seemed to have an advantage. But
Stratford continued to keep its
momentum going.
Seaforth goalie, Kelly Murray,
fended off many difficult shots on
goal as Stratford continued to hover
around the Seaforth end and set up
shots. Four goals were scored by
Stratford in the second period.
Seaforth scored one goal by Denise
DeJong, assisted by Denise
O'Reilly. The final score was 6 - 4
for Stratford.

Seaforth Novice Ringette played

w and came away the winner
in both matches.
Friday night the Novice girls
played St. Mary's the first of two
games this season. The game was
close through the fist period and
most of the second but the Seaforth
squad seemed to have a little more
pep at the end of the game and the
final score was Seaforth 7 , St.
Marys 5.
Nicole Munro scored three goals
for a hat trick and also picked up
an assist on a goal scored by Kim
Devereaux. Kim was awarded an
assist, as well. Katie Holland also
scored two goals. Sara Agar, goalie
stopped 29 shots in this game as St.
Mary's out shot Seaforth 34-15.
On Sunday, the Novice hosted
Stratford 1 and again Seaforth
played well and beat Stratford 8-2.
Nicole Munro scored her second hat
trick of the weekend. Kim
Devereaux and also scored three
while Katie Holland and Jenny Del
Vecchio each added one. Kim
Janmau, Tricia Jansen and Daneille
Kistner each got a point for an
assist. Again the three defensive
lines of Clare Eckert, Andrea
Longstaff, Missy Etue, Jeanette
Crowley, Bronwyn Phillips and
Jesse Finlayson played a strong
game.
Seaforth Tweens defeat Forest 4-2
On Tuesday, Decemt-;r 11 the
Seaforth Tweens travelled to Forest.
Everyone was working hard and
played a good game.
In the first period goals went to
Jennifer Marion and Betty Little.
Assists went to Wendy Thompson
and Kelly Rau.
In 'the second period the Forest
girls came on strong to get two
quick goals but that didn't stop
Seaforth. Seaforth scored two more
goals. Michelle Etue and Kelly Rau
each had one and were assisted by
Jennifer Marion and Betty Little.
Seaforth won 4-2.
As the coach would say "the girls
played like a team."
SEAFORTH TWEENS
LOSE 5 - 2
The Seaforth Tweens lost 5-2 to
the Stratford 2 team.
Jennifer Marion scored the first
goal assisted by Jill Wood. Then
Jennifer Marion scored again as-
sisted by Betty Little and Wendy
Thompson. Julie Agar played an
excellent game in Seaforth.
All of the girls did very well.
Their next game is January 6 at
6:30 p.m. in Seaforth against the St.
Mary's 1 team.

Seaforth's. Eight players dominated
the play as they netted eight more

Tony* Glousher was kept quite
busy and played excellent in the
Seaforth net.
Goal scorers were, Tracey Fortune
(7), Sheri Kling (4), Lisa Hand non
(3). Assists went to Becky Harrison
(2), Kari McMillian (1), Tracy
Sills (I), Heather McKe rcher (1),
Lisa Henderson (4), -Dacey Fortune
(1), and Sheri Kling (1).
Seaforth defence gave the spec-
tators a good lesson on how the
game of Ringette should be played.
Keep up the hard work Seaforth.
The next game is Decanber 30
against Clinton at Seaforth. Come
out and cheer on the local team.
