Seaforth has apparently fallen into a scoring slump, however as it was able to score only two goals in two games this week. Seaforth was on the low side of a 4 - 1 score on Monday night, and the down side of a 5 - 1 score on Saturday afternoon at the Seaforth and District Community Centres. On Monday, Mitchell took the lead with a quick blast that beat goaltender Dean Wood just :28 seconds into the game. Mitchell scored once more with 3:43 remaining in the first. The second was, well, fast is the only word to describe the second period. There was one whistle in the entire period, coming with 6:20 left in the middle frame. In the third Seaforth wished the whistle had not gone again as it was to signal Mitchell goals. Mitchell scored two more on goal - tender Danny O'Reilly, who relieved Wood in the third. Seaforth scored its only goal with 2:34 remaining in the game on a goal by Ryan Van Dooren, assisted by Daryl Young and Daniel Nash. On Saturday, Seaforth hosted Goderich. The first period saw Goderich strike for two and Seaforth for one as Jason Anstett scored from a bad angle. The score remained 2 - 1 until the third period when Goderich struck for three to win going away, 5 - 1.
