Thomas' Anglican Church to
Seaforth on Saturday, lune 30,
1990, for the celebration and bles-
sing of marriage uniting Katherine
Jane Larone and Steven Ray
Huether. The Reverend C. Gregory
Gilson, B.A., M. Div. officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Kenneth J. Larone of RR
4 Seaforth and the groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Huether of RR
3 Walton. Maid of honor was Faye
Carnochan, friend of the bride, and
bridesmaids were Cindy Mordaunt,
sister of the bride, Bonnie Johnston,
sister of the bride, Nancy Spittal,
cousin of the bride, and Patty Spit-
tal, cousin of the bride. Flower girl
was Jennifer Mordaunt, niece of the
bride. Best man was Dan Arts,
friend of the groom, and guests
were ushered by John Huether,
brother of the groom, Craig Merritt,
friend of the groom, Michael Ellis,
friend of the groom and Joe
Fleming, friend of the groom. Ring
bearer was Robert Johnston,
nephew of the bride. A duet was
sung by Lucille and Jayne Delaney,
friends of the bride and groom,
with Jayne also playing the organ
for the ceremony. Readers were
Paul Peggy from Bridge of Allan,
Scotland, cousin of the bride;
Teresa Donnolly, friend of the
bride; and Deborah Johnson, friend

Northside United Church,
Seaforth was the siting on July 21,
1990 for the exchange of wedding
vows between Sandra Marie Hulley,
daughter of Marion Hulley of
Seaforth, and Mart 'nomas
Melady, son of John and Mary
Melady of Brighton. The Reverend
Dr. Eugen Bannerman presided.
Maid of honor was Susan Hulley of
Seaforth, sister of the bride, and
bridesmaids were Debbie Melady of
Dublin, niece of the bride, Nancy
Breddy and Karen Kennedy of
London, friends of the bride,
Suzanne Melady of Guelph, sister-
in-law of the groom and Kara Van-
denNeucker of Kingston, friend of
the bride. Junior bridesmaids were
Shelly, Vicki, Marian and Samantha
Lansink of Seaforth, nieces of the
bride. Flower girl was Jaclyn Hul-
ley, niece of the bride. Best man
was Tim Melady of Brighton,
brother of the groom, and guests
were ushered by Paul Melady of
Guelph, brother of the groom, Pat
Melady of Dublin, cousin of the
groom, Doug Hulley of Seaforth,
brother of the bride, Terry Kramers
of Seaforth, friend of the groom,
and Tony Arts of Seaforth, friend
of the groom. Ringbearer was
Owen O'Reilly, nephew of the
bride. Readers were Julie McLeod
and Brent Hulley, niece and nephew
of the bride. Organ music was
provided by Marg Whitmore of
Seaforth and soloists were Lori and
Lisa Strong of Seaforth. Violinists
were Madonna and Carol Ann
McQuaid of Seaforth. Master of
Ceremonies was Kevin Melady of
Dublin, cousin of the groom. Fol-
lowing a reception at the Seaforth
and District Community Centres,
the couple left on a honeymoon to
Manitoulin Island. They are now
residing in London.

WILLIAM ALFRED CHURCH
William Alfred Church of McKil-
lop Township, died Monday,
November 26, 1990 at the Seaforth
Community Hospital. He was 83.
He is survived by his wife, the
former Mary Gilfillan; and by one
sister, Edith Ainscow of Peter-
borough, England.
Mr. Church was predeceased by
one sister, Amy Thomas.
Friends may call at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderich
Street West, Seaforth until Wednes-
day at 3:30 p.m. when funeral ser-
vices will be held. Interment Exeter
Cemetery.
MICKEY VERE
F.J. (Mickey) Vere of Clinton,
and formerly of Stratford, died on
Wednesday, November 21, 1990 in
the Clinton Public Hospital. He was
64.
Born in Stratford, he was the son
of the late Charles Vere and the
former Clara Durney. He had been
manager of the LCBO in Clinton
until his retirement. Prior to moving
to Clinton in 1980, he had worked
for many years as head cashier and
acting assistant manager of the
LCBO on Wellington Street in
Stratford.
He had served on the Huron -Perth
Separate School Board as a trustee
from 1971 until moving to Clinton.
He was chiarman of the board
during the 1977-78 school term.
He was a member of the St.
Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in
Clinton, and a member of the
Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Marjorie A. Marian; sons,
Terry of Toronto, Stephen of
Kitchener, David and his wife
Cathy of Stratford, Father Daniel
Vere of Sarnia, Dennis and wife
Suanne of Clinton, Paul and wife
Peggy of London, and Randy of
Kitchener; sisters Lois (Mrs. John
Chippa) of Stratford; and a
grandson, Justin Paul Vere.
Mr. Vere was predeceased by a
sister Mary and a brother Jack.
Father Daniel Vere officiated at
the funeral mass at St. Joseph's
Catholic Church in Clinton on
November 23. Bishop John Michael
Sherlock graced the funeral mass
with a prayer to St. Joseph, a
favorite of Mr. Vere.
Pallbearers were Paul Stevenson,
Percy Pugh, Howard Shantz, Jack
Kane, Ab Matheson and Ritchie
Cox. Honorary pallbearers were
Arnie Helm, Joe Haggerty, Gerry
Holland and Bob McInnes.
Interment Avondale Cemetery,
Stratford
ELSIE MAE KEYES
Elsie Mae Keyes of RR 4
Seaforth died at the Stratford
General Hospital on Thursday,
November 22, 1990. She was 56.
The former Elsie Storey, she is
survived by her husband Merton
Keyes; and by her mother, the
former Mae Campbell.
Also surviving are: brothers-in-
law, Frances Storey of Seaforth,
and Stewart and his wife Gail
Keyes of Brampton; and a sister-in-
law Ruth Carter of Woodstock.
Mrs. Keyes was predeceased by
her father, William James Storey
Sr. and by one brother Everett.
Friends were received at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home in
Seaforth and a funeral service was
held at Brucefield United Church
on Saturday. interment Maitland
Bank Cemetery, Seaforth
Pallbearers were Mark Carter,
Glen Keyes, Robert McCartney,
Eric McIntosh, Pawl Storey and
Larry Wheatley. Flower bearers
were Robyn Carnochan, David
Keyes, Janke McIntosh and Jeffrey
Tretneer.

RUBY IRENE WEBSTER
Ruby Irene Webster of Clinton
and formerly of Stanley Township,
died Thursday, November 22, 1990
at the Clinton Public Hospital. She
was 88.
The former Ruby Taylor, she was
a daughter of the late William J.
Taylor and former Emma Dowson.
She was a school teacher, and a
member of the Ontario Street
United Church in Clinton, and a life
member of the Varna United
Church and its United Church
Women group.
Mrs. Webster is survived by two
daughters, Margery and her hus-
band Ray Huether of RR 3 Walton
and Nancy and her husband Jack
(Pat) Holmes of Clinton; and one
son, Mack and his wife Janet of RR
1 Varna.
Also surviving are eight
grandchildren; one sister Blanche
(Mrs. Clarence Stephenson) of
Hensall; and two brothers, Louis
Taylor of Huronview and Robert
Taylor of Clinton.
Mrs. Webster was predeceased by
her husband Watson (Wat) Webster;
two sisters, Pearl (Mrs. Joe Wilton)
and Fern (Mrs. Harry Baker and
Mrs. Anson Coleman); and by five
brothers, Russell, Garnet, Harold,
Harvey and Lorne Taylor.
Friends called at the Beattie -Fal-
coner "Ball Chapel" and a funeral
service was held on Sunday. The
Reverend David Woodall officiated.
Interment Baird's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dan Holmes,
John Huether, Steven Huether,
Mark Webster, Jeff Yankus and
Adam Wilson Sr. Flower bearers
were Margery Holmes, Kathy
Huether, Brian Webester, Mary
Ellen Webster and Mary Yankus.
JANET ELIZABETH
KERSLAKE
Janet Elizabeth (Lawrie) Kerslake,
formerly of Seaforth and Hibbert
Township, died Saturday, Novem-
ber 24, 1990 at the Ritz Villa in
Mitchell. She was 95.
The former Janet Hocking, she is
survived by children, Marian and
her husband Frank Jackson of
Cobourg, Alvin and his wife Jean
of London, Marjorie (Mrs. Herb
Smith ) of Cobourg, Keith and his
wife June of Kincardine, Pearl and
her husband Don Deacon of Prince
George, British Columbia, Bill and
his wife Freda of Staffa, Shirley
and her husband Don Garland of
Pinkerton and Donald and his wife
Brenda of Rosetown, Saskatchewan.
Also surviving are: one sister-in-
law, Mary Hocking of Hillside
Nursing Home; 28 grandchildren;
and 21 great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home in
Seaforth, and a funeral service will
be held at 2 p.m. today. November
28. interment Staffa Cemetery.
JANET MCARTHUR
Janet R. McArthur of Seaforth,
died Sunday, November 25, 1990 at
the Seaforth Community Hospital.
She was 93.
The former Janet Oliver, she is
survived by one daughter Margaret
(Mrs. Oordon Sallows) of Seaforth;
and three great-grandchildren, Mat-
thew, Mark and Mike Vock.
Mrs. McArthur was predeceased
by her husband George McArthur,
one brother Leslie; one sister Mar-
garet Schram; and one
granddaughter Cathy Vock.
Friends were received at the
Whitney-Rihey Funeral Home.
Seaforth and a funeral service was
held on Tuesday. interment Rrus-
sels Cemetery.
