PARR LINZ 1 - PERTH 1 An awesome game by Parr Line Ladies. Glanda Chaim scared the first goal, with Sandra Wilson, Bev Shea and Sandi Fremlin each also getting a single goal. Double goals go out w Cheryl Kruse and Mrs. Arta who played super on the ice. The sane pal for Path was scored by Marlyn Benoit. QUEENS 0 - COMMERCIAL 1 Lan Kay Rowland, a new recruit scored the only commercial goal. She convened a great pass by Joan Flanagan. Quotas ladies had ample chances but neva got a break. In ladies Broombell November 7 at 9 p.m. Perth vs Youngblood; 9:50 p.m. Queens vs Winthrop; 10:40 p.m. Parr Linc vs Commer- cial; and Junior Farmers sit out. MENS BROOMBALL KNIGHTS 0 - EASY RIDERS 7 Rob MacGregor scared two i1goals, as did Jeff Allen. Ed Van Mitten - burg. WINTHROP 1 - GRADS Brian Neil is the hero d this game, scaring the only pal. Keen passing by Ross Mitchell and Brian Williamson. The Grads played a ��J� v�odgauae but no goals were PARR LINE 1 - RED RUSTLES 3 Dave Hulley popped in two sure goals, with Ralph Nivins gobbling up the other one. For Parr Line Mark Ktaha scored, helped by Les Van Wonder= and Adam W iisun. RAIDERS 0 - DUMPERS h Bill Dale scared a lune goal *Wag with Colin Young, Dale Kennedy and Brea Finlayaion. Bob Nash squeezed in two goals wuh lots of back up from Steve Eckert, Reg Bietz and Frank Verbern. IZne Randers tried and tried but came up empty handed for goals. Annual Sisterhood Night set for tonight The Seaforth Lioness Club would like to invite all Ladies to the AN- NUAL SISTERHOOD NIGHT at the Seaforth Public School TONIGHT. The Seaforth and District RIN- GETTE ASSOCIATION is spon- soring "Christmas is Coming" with Rick and Judy Avery. This concert will be held at the Seaforth and District Community Centres on Wednesday, November 28, 1990. Two performances will be held, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. This Family Christmas concert will entertain young and old with familiar and often requested), Christmas musical numbers, as well as recent seasonal music. This couple provided music for a wide age range appeal. For more information you can contact Wendy Murray at 345-2040. The Seaforth Harmony Hi-Lites Christmas Show will be held on Saturday, December 1, 1990, at the Seaforth and District Community Centres. Show times are 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. This year's theme is "SA- NTA CLAUS EXPRESS". Admis- sion fees are $6 for the afternoon show and S7 for the evening show. The Seaforth WOOD CARVING CLUB meets every Thursday evening at the Highshool from 7 to 9 p.m. If you are interested in car- ving ducks or birds, this is your chance. You don't have to know anything about carving, the ex- perienced members will help you out. On Thursday, November 15, Tom Woolveu of London will be coming in to talk to the group on carving and will give many demonstrations. Please watch the Community Calendar for dates. This skating time is sponsored by the Seaforth Lions Club. Senior Shuffleboard continues every Wednesday afternoon at the Seaforth and Distract Community Centres from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Last week's winners were: Ladies - Ariel Wood (363), Mary McMillan (350), and Audrey McLean (345). Men - Bert Walters (391), Sandy Pepper (388), and Gordon McKenzie (360). Seaforth Atom Is shut out Mitchell The Seaforth Atom I team met Mitchell for the first time this year on Sunday, November 4 in Seaforth. The boys played an excel- lent game and Charles Robertson and Sean Ludwig shared the shut out. There was no scoring in the first period, although there were many good chances. Halfway through the second period, the scoreboard final- ' ly lit up. Seaforth was`short-handed at the time, but Jered Munro passed the puck to Jeremey McNichol who carried it in and snuck it in the corner. A minute later, Josh Dietz passed the puck up to Scott Hender- son. Scott managed a weak back- hand, under close checking, but it crossed the goal line as the goalie tried to jump on it. The third period also belonged to Seaforth. Midway through the period the boys were able to capitalize on Mitchell penalty. Bruce Griffin rushed the puck deep into the Mitchell end and threw the puck out front from the side of the net. Brandon Nash picked it up and made a quick pass over to Scott Van Dooren also got the assists on the next goal a minute and a half later on another power play oppor- tunity. This time it was Robbie Because wife assault usually happens at home, people tend to think of it as a family affair. But wife assault is not a private matter. It is a crime. Scott Henderson and Scott Van Dooren teamed up for some penalty killing which developed into a two on one play. Scou Henderson made a beautiful lead pass to put Scott Van Dooren in the clear on a breakaway. Scott deked the goalie and backhanded the puck into the net. The boys had scored two power play goals and with the last goal they had managed two short-handed goals also. The final score was Seaforth 5, Mitchell 0. Keep up the good work boys! Petite teams face each other An exhibition game was held in Seaforth Sunday night between the two strong Petite Ringette teams. The teams were ready after prac- tising together since September to give it their all. And they did! The Seaforth II team opened the scoring with Kathy Devereaux getting a goal at 13:53, assisted by Julianne Crowley. The Seaforth I1 team continued to apply pressure with Kelly Devereaux scoring at 13:01, assisted by Krissy Holland. Seaforth I team retaliated with Cathy Coyne scoring at 12:36, assisted by Anna Mailloux. With the score close, the Seaforth lIs began to steadily pick up momen- tum with Krissy Holland scoring at 10:18, assisted by Sandee Ryan. Kathy Deveraux then scored at 9:37, assisted by Jane Crowley, and again at 6:35 to achieve her hat trick. Going into the second period, with the score 5 - 1 for the Seaforth IIs Kara Murray scored at 14:35, assisted by Jane Crowley. The Seaforth I team seemed to start to turn their game around with Cathy Coyne scoring at 14:22. For the next seven minutes, the Seaforth I team held the Seaforth IIs at bay. Kathy Devereaux scored her fourth goal of the game at 7:52, assisted by Kelly Deveraux. The Seaforth I team continued to dig in with Melissa Robertson scoring at 5:17, but Kara Murray form Seaforth IIs retaliated with a goal at 5:04, as- sisted by Kathy Devereaux. The last goal of the night was scored by Cathy Coyne at 3:13, assisted by Melissa Robertson. The final score was 8 - 4 for the Seaforth IIs. This was an exciting prelude for the next scheduled game on November 16 at 7:30 p.m. when the two Seaforth Petite teams will be squaring off again. Best assured, this will be an action packed game so come on out and support the teams! Make hoar gore.
