FALL CLEAN-UP WEEK
The Seatorth Public Works Department will be conducting a tall clean-
up week during the week of October 22 to 26, 1990.
ONE WEEK ONLY
Please have all debris, Naar, branches, garden materials, etc properly
bagged, separate from any leaves, at the curbside by 8:00 a.m on the
days of collection
SORRY! The Public Works Department will not accept the following
items during their collection
1. Tires
2. Containers with Liquids
3. Paint Cans with Wet Paint
BRUSH COLLECTION:
Beginning November 1 1990, the Public Works Department will be col-
lecting small amounts of residential brush. (BRANCHES ONLY)
Brush Collections will be held on the last Friday of each month, BY AP-
POINTMENT ONLY. Please call 527-1710, at least 24 hours prior to the
collection date, to schedule a pick-up.

LEAF COLLECTION
The Public Works Department will collect leaves on the following days:
October 22 & October 23 -North of Goderich Street
October 24 & 25 -South of Goderich Street
to the Railway Tracks
October 26 -South of the Railway Tracks
Please have leaves raked loose in a long narrow windrow or bagged
at the roadside by 8:00 a.m. on the day of the collection.
Leaves must not contain any branches or garden material.
LEAF BURNING
By-law No. 26-78, Section 14 "No person shall set any fire on any pav-
ed street or improved portions of any street... -
By -law No. 441-42, Section 92 "No person shall burn any combustible
material within 100 feet of any building..."
Additional leaf collections will occur daily for three consecutive weeks.
There will be no further leaf collection after November 16th, 1990.

Pink Panthers on scoreboard with wins
It took until the second game of
the fourth night of Thursday
Nighter Bowling but the Pink
Panthers have finally won a game.
They enjoyed it so much that they
won again the next game and took
total pins as well as five and seven
points for the night.
Leading the win was Doug Leon-
hardt with a big 295 game and 662
triple. Pat Ryan recorded a personal
season best 227 game and a 513
triple. Barb Alexander also had a
200 game to enable the team to
jump out of last place.
The Rocky Rollers were the un-
fortunate victims of the Pink
Panthers surge. Leading the team
was Brian Dale with 267/637 night.
Doug Vock finally got the hang of
it in the third game with a 240, and
Joanne Knights had a big 218 first
game to help the team to its only
win for the night.
The League leading Simpons
managed another seven point sweep
over the Four plus Two team but all
games were closely contested. The
Simpsons hot shooter for the night
was Dave Moody with 326/857,
highest league games recorded so
far this season. Doug Procter had
super 261/677 scores, Mark McKel-
lar recorded 212 and 204 games
and Sherry Tunney had 210/543.

For the losing side Ralph
Johnston was tops with 244/625.
John Aubin had 210/590 and Gerry
Armstrong had a 210 game to keep
the games close. Unfortunately the
loss drops the team into last place.
The Ninja Turtles made the most
of their strong first two games
recording five of seven points at the
expense of the Behinders. Leading
the team was Gary Bedard 265/667.
Sue Stokes spared and added a big
248 game, Bob Wright hit for a
super 234/566 and Janet Moody
added a 197.
Michelle Deighton led the
Behinders with 227/579 and Karl
Teichert added a 210. Mel Merian,
although having an off night deser-
ves Honorable mention having
recently celebrated his 82nd
Birthday. Mel did record a 182
game and continues to contribute
well. Best Wishes Mel.
This week Behinders vs Rocky
Rollers, Four Plus Two vs Pink
Panthers (last place battle), and
Ninja Turtles attempt to take first
place from the Simpsons.
SIMPSONS HOLD DOWN SLIM
FIRST PLACE LEAD
In Thursday Nighter Bowling
"The Simpsons" managed to take
five of seven points from the Rocky
Rollers in a close battle.
Leading the win was Dave Moody
with 266/618 and Doug Procter
with 211/594.
The Rocky Rollers were again led
by team captain Bnan Dale with
242/655. Doug Vock also scored a
big 242 final game, which the team
lost by only one pin.
The "Behinders" scored a second
consecutive seven point sweep by
pounding the pointless "Pink
Panthers"
The win was led by Dan
Bennewies, back on track with a
258/705 night. Karl Teichert was
again strong with 248/657 and
Steve Steep hit big in the second
game for 261.
On the losing side the Pink
Panthers had a big 250/684
performance from Doug Leonhardt.
Erich Matzold was hot with
228/637 and Barb Alexander had
one of the few ladies 200 game
with a 201.
Team 04 became officially the
"Ninja Turtles" and took five points
from "Four Plus Two" in honor of
the occasion. Gary Bedard was high
league bowler for the night with
281/731 and Carol Bennewies had
ladies high triple with 561. George
Johnston spared for the holidaying
Don Deighton and contributed a
238 game.
The "Four Plus Two" team only
added up to two points with a fust
game win. Gerry Armstrong was
top bowler with 246/640, Ralph
Johnston had a 243 and Janice
Leonhardt returned with a big 205.
This week fist place Simpsons
take on "Four plus Two", second
place "Ninja Turtles" take on third
"Behinders" and fourth place
"Rocky Rollers take on the heavily
handicapped "Pink Panthers".

Egmondville League. George Love
led the St. James League with
games of 307, 308 and an 849
triple. Murray Bennewies rolled a
738 triple and Cathy Broome also
had an excellent night with a 332
single and a 705 triple with her
high game more than 100 pins over
her average.
The Town and Country League
was topped by Ron Harris 305 -
784, John Staffen 700 and Elaine
Brown 597.
The mixed doubles had a +100
pins of their average score by Bob
Dinsmore with 301 - 737. Barb
Broderick bowled a 639 triple.
Gary Bedard led the Thursday
Nighters with 731. Dan Bennewies
705 and Mary Barns 621.
Olave Little was high bowler for
the Seniors with 270 - 593.
The week of October 8 to 12 is
the determining paint for averages
for the Hiram Walker Special Old
High -Low Doubles 5 pin Cham-
pionships. The deadline for entries
in the High -Low Doubles 5 pin
championships. The deadline for
entries in the High -Low Doubles is
October 21.
The High -Low Doubles starts the
week of October 29 when league
scores will be used with a high and
low bowler being paired. They must
bowl over their combined averages
for six weeks. The bowlers are
eliminated if they bowl under their
combined averages.
New schedule
for broomball
FARMERS 1 - WINTHROP 0
Deb Bedard was the hero for the
Junior Farmers as she scored the
only goal in this game, with assis-
tance form Annette Hoggarth.
QUEENS 3 - COMMERCIAL 1
Cheryl Kruse scored a hat trick
for the Queens, with back help
from Jean Haggiu and Teresa Fin-
layson. Maureen Flanagan scored
the lone goal for the Commercial
and it was unassisted.
YOUNGBLOOD 3 - PERTH 0
Tanya Eckert scored for the
Youngblood off a great pass by
Tammy Kennedy. A quick slap and
Tracey Bennett also scored. Help
came from Lisa Hendenon and
Tammy Nash. A single goal by
Lori Ann McNichol. Perth Ladies'
determination was overwhelming,
but goals were scarce.
In ladies Exhibition Rroomhall
October 17 at 9 p.m. Youngblood
vs Queens; 9:50 p.m. Parr Linc vs
Jr. Farmers; 10:40 p.m. Commercial
vs Winthrop and Perth sits out.
At 7:30 p.m. - Beginners or Pee
Wee; 8 p.m. - Girls; and 9 p.m. -
