Residents tackle woodworking
Queensway residents are excited
about starting woodworking projects
in preparation for a Craft and Bake
Sale scheduled for November 14.
The projects are being completed
under the patient guidance of volun-
teer Murray Hohner.
Lida and Harold De Vries gave
and excellent presentation on Japan
for September's International day.
Residents viewed an informative
slide show along with many interes-
ting artifacts from the De Vries trip
to Japan during a Christian
Reformed Church World Mission
Project.
Father Hayes led Mass for the
Catholic residents this past week.

Fleischaur as pianist provided the
church service Tuesday afternoon.
Residents enjoyed the music of
Marie Flynn and Huron Strings at
the monthly birthday party. They
were also awed by the enormous
energy and talent displayed by
several young step dancers that
performed with Marie's group.
They left them breathless. Birthday
greetings to Harold Tripp, Bona
Clark, Mildred Gingerich, Helen
Rivers, Jack Lowe, Gord Beierling
and Dorothy Insley.
There was a large turnout for this
week's video, "South Pacific".
Musicals are very popular at
Queensway.
Coming events are: October 10 at
2 p.m., Thanksgiving music
program with Lauren Madge and
group; and October 12, Information
day on Native Canadian Indians.
