THE 16T11 HOLE BLUES - The 16th hole, one of slot that were opened last weekend at the newly -
expanded Seaforth Goff and Country Club, looks Nice it could get a reputation as a real doozy. Bert
Pullen of Grand Bend, golfing at Saturday's opening event, got more wildlife than he bargained for when
he drove for the green, but for $1 in green tees, he couldn't complain about a soaker. Elliott photo.

The ladies in the kitchen were
paid many complements by out-of-
town bowlers for their fine food
and hospitality during the day. In a
year when some clubs had to cancel
tournaments for lack of entries, the
Seaforth Club is grateful for the
support they have received in filling
their greens.
Two of our local bowlers have
been successful in out-of-town
men's tournaments. Bowling in the
New Hamburg Sausage Tour-
nament, Tom Philips with Dave
Colclough of Exeter captured 1st
prize. Also, at Elora, Tom and

Ryan and Dave placed 2nd at
Hanover M. and M. with 3 w and

Dave Colclough were 2nd. (There
was also the Walkerton men's hairs

told to forget those scores!)

active in out-of-town tournaments,
with Jean Lunn and Eileen Adam -
ton placing 1st at Atwood. At
Exeter ladies trebles Jean, Eileen
and Dorothy McCluskie were 3rd.
Two teams also went to the Atwood
Fowl Tournament and were suc-

their way to the west coast to visit
their daughter.

the night at Optimist Park, bashing
home a grand -slam homerun in the
sixth inning to tie the game 5-5.
Seaforth went into the inning
trailing 5-1, and loaded the bases
with singles by Brandon Nash and
