Mitchell, and Mrs. Ruby
McCulligh, Seaforth, are pleased
to announce the forthcoming mar-
riage of their children Bonnie Mae
and Danny Calvin. The marriage
is to take place Saturday August
25th, at 3 p.m. in Main Street
United Church, Mitchell.

their activity director

residents here at Seaforth Manor.
On July 30, several residents and
staff membersm the living
room towish Swain well in her
new pursuits. Sue was presented
with a lovely gift and a beautifully
decorated cake was enjoyed by all.
July 31 was "Euchre at
Maplewood Manor" day. Our
residents enjoyed walking over to
Maplewood for an afternoon of
cards. Winners were: Men's High -
Frank Smale, Mens Low - Peter
Treemer, Women's High - Edith
Vincent, Women's Low - Margaret
Smale, Lone Hands - Minnie Scoa.
Our monthly Resident's Council
meeting was held on Saturday, July
4, followed in the evening by a
"Pyjama Bingo". Lucky winners
were Frank Smale, Mary Essery,
Maxine Elliot Gladys Ruston,
Dennis Arney, Keith Harmon,
Margaret Smale and Ila Gardner.
Thanks to volunteer ladies Viola
Lawson, Doreen Kelly and Greta
Kerr and to student volunteers
Christie and Charlotte Laycox,
Carrie Bennewies and Steve Phil -
Following the holiday weekend,
our residents got back into action
with Fun and Fitness which is held
three umes a week here at the
Manan.
Tuesday, August 8, ow Baking
Club baked up several batches of
"Banana Jam Muffins". These were
later enjoyed at evening snack and
received "rave reviews" from
everyone. Thanks to Volunteer
Viola Lawson for assisting us. In
the afternoon Doris Squire, Alvin
Dodds, Mattie McGregor, Jean
Elliot, Irene Omand, Keith Harmon
and Mort Mann enjoyed a walk out
to the Freeze King for ice cream.
Our week's activities concluded
with a Friday afternoon movie
shown in the living room after
which everyone enjoyed pop and
cheesies.

for 1990
The Wingham District offices of
the Ministry of Natural Resources
has announced the dates for the
1990 deer season.
• Wildlife Management Unit 85,
which includes Huron County and
Minto Township, in Wellington
County, has designated October 15
- November 4, and November 9 -
December 31 as designated hunting
season for BOWS AND ARROWS
ONLY, no dogs, and open to On-
tario residents only.
November 5 - November 8 is
designated for a controlled four-
day hunt for SHOTGUN AND
MUZZLE LOADERS ONLY, no
dogs, open to Ontario residents
only. For this four-day hunt, all
hunters must have their deer license
validated by a special tag. Farmers
and landowners of 50 acres or more
are eligible to receive a tag. Other
Ontario residents must enter their
names in a lottery type draw for a
limited number of validation tags.
Applications for this hunt are now
available at the Wingham District
office, and must be completed and
returned to the office by 5 p.m.,
August 31, 1990.

Ontario residents only.
Unit 84 is managed by the selec-
tive harvest season, and therefore
hunters must have submitted their
completed applications for an
antlerless deer tag to the Ministry
of Natural Resources Wildlife
Branch in Toronto, or a district
office by July 31, 199T.
