OBITUARIES
WINONA PIPE
Mrs. Winona Pipe of Jarvis St.,
Seaforth died on Wednesday,
August 8, 1990 at Stratford General
Hospital. She was 74.
Born in Blyth on January 28,
1916, the daughter of the late Wil-
liam and Kathleen Hesk, she is
survived by her husband Lloyd
Pipe, and by a son Barry, North
Bay. Also survivng are
grandchildren Teresa (Mrs. Harold
Blum) of London and Debbie Wil -
mink of London, great-grandson
Alexander, and a by a sister, Ruth,
of Hamilton.
Mrs. Pipe was predeceased by
brothers Frank, Orville, Charlie and
Emerson.
Friends were received at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home,
Seaforth, on Friday, August 10 until
2 p.m. on Saturday, August 11,
when funeral services were held.
Interment Clinton Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be
made to the Seaforth Community
Hospital Building Fund.
JEANNE CATHERINE
WRIGHT
Jeanne Catherine Wright of 883
Hagle St., Sarnia, died on Thursday,
August 2, 1990 at St. Joseph's
Hospital, Sarnia.
She is survived by sisters Mar-
garet McIver of Seaforth, Mary
Coffin of Toronto, Theresa Moms
of Tillsonburg, Alice Stiles of
Toronto and Josephine Bechely of
Waterloo; and seven nieces and
nephews.
Mrs. Wright was predeceased by
her husband John Andrew Wright
(1981), an infant son John Andrew
Wright (1961), and parents Mr. and
Mrs. Peter McIver.
Friends were received at the
Mackenzie and Blundy Funeral
Home, Sarnia, until Sunday, August
5, when prayers were offered.
Funeral Mass was held Monday,
August 6 at 2 p.m., Our Lady of
Mercy Church. Interment, Our Lady
of Mercy Cemetery. Memorial
donations to the Arthritis Society
would be appreciated.
MARGARET CECILIA
LAUTENSCIILA(:ER
Mrs. Margaret Cecilia
Lautenschlager (nee Connolly) died
at the Kitchener -Waterloo Hospital
on Tuesday, August 7, 1990. She
was 78.
She is survived by two sons, Peter
Steffler and wife Audrey of Heidel-
berg, Ontario and Daniel Steffler
Sr., Waterloo; and by special friend
Bill Baker. Also surviving are
brothers Edwin Connolly and wife
Bertha of Toronto; Peter Connolly
and wife Mary of Seaforth; and
several grandchildren, great-
grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass was held at St.
Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic
Church, Mitchell on Friday, August
10, Father Wes Gutowski of-
ficiating. Interment St. Vincent
DePaul church cemetery. Memorial
donations to the Kitchener -Waterloo
Hospital Building Fund or The
Canadian Cancer Society would be
appreciated as expressions of sym-
pathy.
FREIDA SIEMON
Mrs. T.rcida Siemon of the Ritz.
Lutheran Villa, and formerly of
Seaforth, died on Saturday, August
11, 1990. She was 85.
The former Freida Mes.9erochmidt,
she is survived by daughters Hazel
(Mrs. Alvin Beuermann) of Dublin;
Ruby (Mrs. Colin Moore) of Rex -
dale; Bernice (Mrs. Hugh McPher-
son) of Seaforth; Laurene (Mrs. Jim
Horam) of Mitchell; Joanne (Mrs.
Clare French) of Mitchell; Betty
(Mrs. Frank (Casey) McCutcheon)
of Brussels; Kathy (Mrs. Gerry
Copper) of Egmondvilie; and son
Bob and wife Marilyn of Ailsa
Craig. The step -mother of Doris
(Mrs. Ken Carnochan) of R.R.5,
Clinton; Rose (Mrs. Bob Robinson)
of R.R.1, Walton and Grace (Mrs.
Jerry Davis) of Gibson, B.C., she is
also survived by 28 grandchildren,
39 great-grandchildren and three
sisters, Mrs. Adline Bennewies of
Ritz Villa, Mitchell; Irene (Mrs.
Carl Michael) of Mitchell, and
Marie Koehler of Cambridge.
She was predeceased by husbands
Jerry Doerr and Antone Siemon,
and by brothers Lawrence and
Harvey.
Friends were received at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home,
Seaforth, on Monday, August 13
until Tuesday, August 14 at 3:30
p.m., when funeral services were
held at Zion United Church, Ros-
tock. Interment Zion United Church
Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy
may be made to the Alzheimer's
Society or to the Ritz Villa.
ANNIE BOWERS
Annie Veronica Bowers of the
Bestview Nursing Home, Markham,
and formerly of Stratford, died on
Thursday, August 9, 1990. She was
98.
Born in Seaforth, she was the
daughter of the late Joseph and
Annie Dorrance. She married Henry
Bowers in 1924, former Dean of
the Stratford Teacher's College,
who died in 1982.
She was educated at University of
Toronto and had taught in secon-
dary schools in Ontario.
She is survived by a son, Dr.
Dorrance Bowers of Kelowna, B.C;
a daughter, Ruth McCallum of
North York; and five grandchildren.
She was predeceased by brothers
Harold, Russell and Roy Dorrance.

JEANNE ELIZABETH
SAL VIDAR
Jeanne Elizabeth Salvidar of
R.R.2, Staffa, died as the result of
an accident on August 12, 1990.
She was 21.
The daughter of Edmund and
Shyrrel Saldivar of Seaforth and
June and John Zettel of R.R. 2,
Staffa, she is also survived by a
brother David, at home, and brother
Jim and wife Fran of Exeter. Also
surviving are grandparents, Anna
Dolmage of McKillop Township,
and Edmund and Hortence Saldivar
of California; and numerous aunts,
uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home,
Seaforth, on Wednesday, August 22
from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and until
Thursday, August 23 at 2 p.m.
when funeral services will be held
at Northside United Church,
Seaforth. Pallbearers are Robert
Eckert, Jack Holmes, Barry Cronin,
James Poppe, Donald Poppe and
David DeVries. Flowerbearers are

TODD ALLAN RICE
Todd Allan Rice of Brusssels died
on Sunday, August 12 as the result
of an accident. He was 17.
Born in Kitchener, he was the son
of Larry and Colleen (Elliot) Rice
of Brussels. He is also survived by
a brother, Shannon, and
grandparents Jack and Berva Rice
of Cambridge, and Allan and Ruth
Elliot of Toronto.
Friends were received at the Betts

day, August 14 and until Wednes-
day, August 15, when funeral ser-
vices will be held at 1 p.m. Inter-

Dublin

MRS. CECILIA RYAN
The annual Malady reunion was
held on Sunday August 12 a the
Dublin and District Pavilion. Ap-
proximately 60 faanily members
gathered for the occasion. It was a
very enjoyable afternoon with
games and lots of visiting followed
by a pot luck supper.
People attending come from Belle
River, London, Kitchener,
Goderich, Thorold, Dublin, Seaforth
and St. Columban.
Leo Ryan of Kitchener, Keith and
Rita Kelly of Stratford, Pat Subject,
Carrie, Ryan, Jeff and Nathan and
Louise Ryan of Kitchener and
Sister Mary Echert of Chatham
visited on Sunday with Cecilia
Ryan.

Shaw.

his stepfather, Clayton Bell, of
